And as we take this day to recognize the importance of mental health, may we also remind ourselves that we don’t always have to be okay. We carry things that others cannot see, hiding behind smiles feelings we struggle to explain, thoughts we keep to ourselves, and battles we face quietly. Not every struggle is visible, and not everyone who seems okay is having an easy time.

That is why it is important to be gentle with ourselves and with others. It is okay to slow down, take a break, and ask for help when things feel overwhelming. We do not have to have everything figured out to deserve rest, care, and understanding.

This World Mental Health Day, may we continue to create spaces where people feel safe to express themselves, where reaching out is welcomed, and where kindness is given without judgment.

Have you ever wondered why “L” for Le***an comes first in LGBTQIA+?

It is not because of alphabetical order or because one identity is more important than another. Its place reflects a history of visibility, solidarity, and le***an leadership within the LGBTQIA+ movement.

From challenging discrimination to standing alongside the community during the AIDS crisis, le***ans have played a significant role in shaping LGBTQIA+ history.

So, when we see the “L” at the beginning, let it remind us of the voices and contributions that must never be erased.

Teachers’ Day may have come to an end, but we didn’t want to let the day pass without making our adviser feel special through a little surprise, given with nothing but our love and appreciation for him.

In commemoration of Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, MARILAYA presents an article 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗝𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗮𝗴𝗮, Vice President for Internal Affairs. This article invites us to pause and look at the ways our presence, words, and willingness to connect with others can hold meaning, especially during moments when someone may be carrying more than we realize.
