💻 𝑴𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚: Face-to-face classes are suspended. All levels will strictly utilize Online Classes via Google Meet

In moments like this, responsible journalism means being mindful of what we share—staying with verified information, respecting those affected, and allowing space for the community to grieve.

School safety should never become important only after tragedy. It is a responsibility that deserves attention, care, and action every day.

Due to the Yellow Heavy Rainfall Warning issued over Taguig and the prevailing rains and strong wind gusts associated with the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), afternoon classes in both public and private schools from Kindergarten to Senior High School (SHS), including Alternative Learning System (ALS) and Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD), are suspended today, August 17, 2026.

All affected classes shall shift to modular or other alternative learning modalities.

Residents are advised to continue monitoring official advisories from the City of Taguig and PAGASA and to take the necessary precautions.

In compliance with Memorandum Circular No. 126 due to heavy monsoon rains (Habagat), face-to-face classes for all grade levels are suspended today, August 14, 2026.

Key Updates:
Early Dismissal: Morning classes on campus will be dismissed early so everyone can head home safely.

Alternative Learning: Afternoon classes will shift to Online Classes via Google Meet.

ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 14

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 126, government offices are directed to shift to appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 14, 2026:

📍 Pampanga
📍 Tarlac
📍 Nueva Ecija
📍 Cavite
📍 Batangas
📍 Rizal

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes at all levels in public and private schools shall likewise be implemented in these areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

Based on the latest Rainfall Information, Metro Manila, including Taguig City, is experiencing light to moderate rains with occasional heavy rainfall due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat). While temporary water buildup and minor traffic disruptions may occur in flood-prone areas, classes are scheduled to resume as planned.

🌧️Please take necessary precautions when traveling to and from school. Students and parents are advised to monitor weather conditions and exercise caution, especially in areas with a history of flooding.
