Today, December 30, we celebrate the 𝟭𝟮𝟵𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 of the martyrdom of our national hero, Dr. José Rizal. The Psychology Society honors his amazing life as a wise thinker, great writer, and strong fighter for freedom whose ideas still teach and inspire all Filipinos.

Today, we reflect on his sacrifices and commit to embodying his values of courage, education, and love for country in our pursuit of a better Philippines. 🇵🇭

Today, we honor the man who proved that revolutions begin not in mansions, but in the hearts of the masses. His courage continues to remind us that true independence is earned through sacrifice and unity.

The recent typhoon has left many of our fellow Filipinos struggling—not just with their homes, but with the stress and uncertainty that follow such a disaster. Even a small act of kindness can help lighten their burden.

The Psychology Society is holding a donation drive, with all contributions going to 𝘼𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙩 𝘽𝙪𝙝𝙖𝙮 𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 to ensure aid reaches those who need it most.

Held last October 23, 2025, the Psychology Department spearheaded an extension program entitled "𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝘿𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮: 𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩" at the DepEd Division Office.

The activity focused on embracing diversity and recognizing the connection between inclusivity and mental well-being. Through the insights of our faculty, the seminar became an avenue to empower individuals and promote resilience amid challenges — reflecting the department’s dedication to holistic growth and social awareness. 💚

On October 17, 2024, the Psychology Department facilitated an extension program titled “𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙮 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖 𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙨” for COMELEC Taguig City employees.

Through engaging discussions and shared insights, the seminar highlighted the importance of self-awareness and emotional regulation in resolving workplace challenges. It also underscored how strong mental health and open communication contribute to creating a more positive and balanced work environment.

Last October 10, 2025, the Psychology Department conducted an extension program titled “𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘵𝘪𝘨𝘮𝘢: 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘈𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴” at Barangay Tanyag, Taguig City.

The program served as a safe space for students to learn, reflect, and openly discuss their mental health experiences. With the guidance of our Psychology faculty, the session encouraged empathy, understanding, and proactive care — strengthening the department’s commitment to promoting mental wellness within the community.
