The 277th Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Unit — Taguig City University proudly conducted the Graduation Ceremony of the Midshipmen and Midshipwomen for Military Science 2 for the Academic Year 2025–2026, held last Sunday, 17 May 2026.

The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the journey of the graduating Midshipmen/women, recognizing their dedication, perseverance, discipline, and commitment throughout their training. Their hard work and determination have strengthened their leadership, teamwork, and sense of responsibility as student reservists and servants of the nation.

The unit also extends its sincerest gratitude to Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, CESE, President of Taguig City University, for serving as the Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker. Your inspiring words, guidance, message of leadership and service greatly motivated the graduates as they move forward to greater responsibilities and future endeavors.

Congratulations to the 272 Midshipmen and Midshipwomen for successfully completing this important chapter of your training. May your achievements inspire you to continue serving with honor, courage, and integrity. Your 277th NROTC Unit family is proud of your accomplishment and wishes you continued success.

NAVY HOOYAH!

The 277th Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Unit - Taguig City University proudly conducted the Turn-over ceremony of Corps Commander on 17 May 2026, held at Taguig City University.

Marking another milestone in the continuity of leadership and the Corps’ commitment to service and excellence. The ceremony witnessed the formal transfer of command from MW/CAPT Jolly Ann L Mazo O-1CL to the newly designated Corps Commander, M/LT Mark Daniel E Medel O-2CL, under the supervision of LCDR ROY E PISCASIO PN and the Training Staff.

The ceremonial transfer of the Chain of Command symbolizes the passage of authority, responsibility, and leadership entrusted to every cadet officer. It reflects the Corps’ dedication to honor, discipline, unity, and faithful service to the nation.

“Leadership is not about authority, but about responsibility, integrity, and the courage to lead by example.”

The occasion was further honored by the presence of the Guest of Honor and Speaker, Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, CESE, President- Taguig City University, whose inspiring message emphasized the important role of cadets as future leaders and defenders of the country.

NAVY HOOYAH!

The 277th Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Unit - Taguig City University successfully conducted the 14th Training Day for Military Science 2 (MS2) under NSTP 2 for the Academic Year 2025–2026, held last Sunday, 10 May 2026.

During this training day, Midshipmen and Midshipwomen actively participated in discussions on Republic Act 7077 Armed Forces of the Philippines Reservist Act, as well as Republic Act 9163 National Service Training Program (NSTP) Law. These discussions provided the Midshipmen and Midshipwomen with a deeper understanding of the duties, responsibilities, and significance of reserve service and national service training in nation-building and military preparedness.

The activity further enhanced the Midshipmen and Midshipwomen’s discipline, teamwork, leadership, and situational awareness, preparing them for more advanced training and future responsibilities in service to the country.

The conduct of the 14th Training Day was made possible through the guidance and supervision of the Commandant and Training Staff.

NAVY HOOYAH!

The 277th Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Unit - Taguig City University successfully conducted the 13th Training Day for Military Science 2 (MS2) under NSTP 2 for the Academic Year 2025–2026, held last Sunday, 03 May 2026.

During this training day, Midshipmen and Midshipwomen undertook their Final Examination for the second semester and participated in a comprehensive discussion on Shipboard Routine. They were further equipped with essential knowledge on basic naval concepts, strengthening their understanding of duties and responsibilities aboard a vessel.

This activity reinforced the Midshipmen and Midshipwomen’s discipline, teamwork, and situational awareness, preparing them for more advanced training and future responsibilities in service.

The conduct of the 13th Training Day was made possible through the guidance and supervision of the Commandant and Training Staff.

NAVY HOOYAH!

The 277th Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Unit – Taguig City University conducted FUN GAMES 2026 on 19 APRIL 2026 at Taguig City University.

The activity served as a refreshing break from regular training, bringing together with Basic Cadets, Advance Officers and Training Staff in a day of fun, teamwork, and friendly competition. It fostered strong camaraderie, boosted morale highlighted the ability of the unit to function as single, and capable of overcoming challenges through discipline and unity.

The Activity was successfully carried out through the leadership, guidance, and supervision of the Commandant and Training Staff.
