In light of the rising heat index, everyone is advised to take extra precautions to prevent heat-related illnesses.

💡 Always Remember: U-M-A-K

U – Use water wisely: Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
M – Move carefully: Avoid strenuous activities, especially during peak heat hours (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
A – Avoid direct sun: Stay in shaded areas or indoors whenever possible. Use umbrellas, hats, or protective gear when going outside.
K – Know the signs: Be aware of symptoms of heat exhaustion, heat cramps, and heat stroke. Seek immediate help if you feel dizzy, weak, or nauseous.

Let us all remain alert and prioritize our health and safety during this period of extreme heat.

On March 28, 2026, the Philippine Association of Social Workers, Inc. NCR Cluster brought together future social workers for an unforgettable celebration, marking the first-ever exposure of Institute of Social Work students from the University of Makati, together with the PASWI Makati Chapter, to this meaningful event. 💙
From the lively parade 🎉 to the fun photo booth 📸, Zumba 💃, and exciting raffle 🎁—the day was filled with energy, connection, and joy!
🧠 A powerful highlight was the talk of Dr. Justin Francis Leon V. Nicolas (UP Diliman), Dean of the UP College of Social Work and Community Development, reminding us that social work goes beyond words—it is about action, solidarity, and transformation.
