UMak makes history in THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026

The University of Makati earned official rankings in the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, landing a spot in the 1501+ bracket among prominent institutions across the globe.

UMak's historic entry in THE is recognized across nine UN Sustainable Development Goals:

SDG 1 - No Poverty (601-800th)
SDG 2 - Zero Hunger (601+)
SDF 3 - Good Health and Wellbeing (1001+)
SDG 4 - Quality Education (1001+)
SDG 6 - Clean Water and Sanitation (601+)

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has officially declared the onset of the rainy season over the western sections of Luzon and the Visayas due to the prevailing Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

As the rainy season begins, the Occupational Health and Safety Office (OHSO) reminds everyone to remain vigilant and prioritize safety:

☔ Bring an umbrella or raincoat when going outdoors.
⚠️ Stay updated with official weather bulletins and advisories.
🚶 Exercise caution when walking on wet and slippery surfaces.
🚗 Drive carefully and avoid flooded roads whenever possible.
🔌 Keep electrical appliances and outlets away from water to prevent electrical hazards.
🦟 Eliminate stagnant water around your surroundings to help prevent mosquito-borne diseases.
🎒 Prepare emergency essentials, especially during periods of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.

While the rainy season has begun, monsoon breaks or periods of reduced rainfall may still occur and can last for several days or weeks.
