We are proud to share that Technological University of the Philippines-Taguig achieved an outstanding overall passing rate of 82.86%, surpassing the national passing rate of 73.10% in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Teachers. Moreover, the university recorded an impressive 87.88% passing rate for first-time takers, reflecting the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and quality teacher education.

Following yesterday’s flag ceremony, the Technological University of the Philippines – Taguig conducted a Preparatory Fire Drill at the Multi-Purpose Hall—an essential initiative aimed at strengthening awareness, readiness, and coordinated response during emergencies.

The activity, led and discussed by Mr. Reginald Cutanda, provided participants with practical knowledge and strategies to ensure safety within the university community. More than just a compliance activity, it emphasized the importance of vigilance and preparedness in saving lives.

Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, this initiative reflects TUPT’s commitment to fostering a safe, resilient, and disaster-ready environment for all.

𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁!

On April 23, 2026, the Research and Extension Office successfully conducted the Research Writing Workshop with the theme “Navigating the Frontiers of Academic Publishing: A Research Writing Workshop.”

Through the leadership of Assistant Director for Research and Extension, Dr. Hector M. Tibo, together with the dedicated R&E Team, the workshop gathered Research Coordinators and faculty members who aspire to strengthen their research competencies and publish in Scopus-indexed journals.

The program formally commenced with inspiring opening remarks from Dr. Rexmelle F. Decapia Jr., followed by the introduction of the resource speaker by Dr. Zachariah John Belmonte, Head of the Research Office.

The session was enriched by the expertise of our distinguished speaker, Dr. Ardvin Kester Ong of Mapúa University, who shared valuable insights on navigating the evolving landscape of academic publishing.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, this initiative strengthens academic capacity, promotes high-quality research, and fosters collaboration across institutions—empowering educators to contribute meaningful knowledge toward sustainable and inclusive development.

Together, we continue to build a culture of research excellence that drives innovation and societal impact.
