For over twenty-eight (28) years, our Marian graduates have become successful alumni, leaving marks on their various careers and professional endeavors. alumni. The Graduate Education Program has a commitment to serve you, especially in addressing your needs as professionals. As a student, you also have a responsibility to willingly respond to certain academic standards and campus norms. Furthermore, it is your duty to develop your character and competence in the face of a culturally diverse atmosphere. Most of all, our mission is to help you grow as a professional individual imbued with Marian values to better serve the community at large. The Graduate Education Program of St. aspires to be a quality resource of higher learning and research ever responsive to the challenges of internationalization of 21st-century education centered on upholding the faith, excellence, and service to God and community. MISSION
We commit ourselves to produce highly competent graduates by providing advanced learning and knowledge in education through sound theories and relevant practices to prepare them for effective teaching and leadership in the academe that would hopefully bring significant reforms and contributions in the field of an education highlighting pedagogy, cultural sensitivity, student-centeredness, teachers’ welfare and school management. OBJECTIVES
The Graduate Education Program provides the necessary opportunities for continued growth and development of effective teachers and dynamic Christian leaders whose research capability is geared towards the advancement of knowledge and development and service to society. The Program aims to:
1. update and enrich teachers’ content knowledge in a specific subject area or
professional area;
2. enhance and expand teachers’ theoretical and technical knowledge for teaching
a specific subject area or professional area; and
3. develop the teachers’ research capabilities for replicating, verifying, validating,
contextualizing, and/or applying theoretical and practical knowledge about the
different aspects of the educational process. Top Highlights of the Program:
- has twenty-five (25) professors who are Doctors of Philosophy in Education and
Doctors of Education
- has forty-two (42) Thesis Advisers who are Doctors of Philosophy in Education
and Doctors of Education
- has the highest number of students in the whole Davao del Norte province
- most graduates get promoted at work

The Courses offered are:

Master of Arts in Elementary Education (MAEE)
Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) major in:
Educational Management (EdM)
English (Engl)
Filipino (Fil)
Mathematics (Math)
Teaching Science (TSci)
Physical Education (P.E.) Guidance and Counseling (GAC)

The services offered are:
- library
- guidance
- clinic

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

- As of this time, the prospectus for the new curriculum is not yet available. The
program is still waiting for the contents noted copy from the CHED office.
- For first-year students, the program offers four (4) subjects per semester (first
and second) and two (2) subjects for Summer Class. For second-year students,
three (3) subjects will be offered for the first semester including the Thesis
Writing 1 and one (1) subject for the second semester which is Thesis Writing 2. Each semester is divided into two (2) terms wherein students have classes for two
(2) or one (1) subject in each term depending on what they need to take to finish
the course.
- Classes are conducted on Saturdays, the whole day. One subject in the morning
(8:00 AM -12:00 NN) and another one subject in the afternoon (1:00 PM – 5:00
PM).
- The program accepts new students, transferees, and returnees.
- For transferees and returnees, the credited subject will be dependent on the
similarity of the course offerings of the Graduate Education Program based on
the number of units, course description, and course requirements as per the
evaluation of the School Registrar and the Dean.
- Since the program is following the new curriculum as mandated by CHED, the
students will be declared as graduates after complying and submitting their
published research studies. ADMISSION POLICIES:

To be eligible for admission to a Master’s degree program, the applicant shall consider these policies:
1. Must be a graduate of any Education Course
2. If in case the student is not an education graduate, he/she must have earned 18
units in Professional Education.
3. Have a general weighted average grade of not lower than 85% in the Bachelor’s
program.
4. Pass the entrance examination for graduate studies (required during face-to-face
classes only. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

- Certificate of transfer Credential
- Informative copy of Transcript of Record
- 1 photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate
- 1 photocopy of PSA Marriage contract (if married)
- Result of Entrance Examination
- 1 pc. 1” x 1” ID Picture

RESEARCH MATTERS 2026 | Qualitative Research Seminar

In line with our commitment to fostering research excellence, the Graduate School of St. Mary's College of Tagum, Inc. Master of Arts in Education Major in Physical Education will conduct an online seminar anchored on the theme, "Enhancing Research Skills for Graduate Students."
The seminar will feature Dr. Rex A. Lim as the resource speaker, who will share valuable insights on Qualitative Research. This learning session is designed to strengthen graduate students' understanding of qualitative research methodologies and enhance their competencies in conducting rigorous and meaningful research.

To all students who are already enrolled but have not yet processed their Student ID, you may now apply for your ID either online or through walk-in processing.

For students who may not be able to process their ID personally due to work commitments, distance, or residence outside Tagum City, you may conveniently apply online by accomplishing the Google Form provided below.

Students who prefer to process their ID personally may visit the I.D. Production Office (Room 101, College Building) during office hours.

Once your Student ID has been processed and printed, it may be claimed at the Dean's Office.
