St. Mary’s College of Tagum, Inc. warmly welcomed the Impact Assessment Team from the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) on July 6, 2026, as part of a project funded by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD).

The visit formed part of the project’s data-gathering activities to assess the impact of the DOST-PCIEERD Regional Consortium on its member institutions. During the coordination meeting, the team engaged with SMCTI in assessing the institution’s current research initiatives, recent developments, and overall research landscape while exploring opportunities for future collaboration.

This meaningful engagement reflects the shared commitment of SMCTI, the University of Southern Mindanao, and DOST-PCIEERD to strengthening research capabilities, fostering innovation, and promoting a vibrant research culture that contributes to institutional growth and national development.

SMCTI remains steadfast in its pursuit of research excellence through meaningful partnerships and collaborative initiatives.
