“𝓛𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓛𝓮𝓰𝓪𝓬𝔂, 𝓚𝓮𝓮𝓹𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓗𝓸𝓹𝓮 𝓐𝓵𝓲𝓿𝓮”

The student nurses and clinical instructors of St. Mary’s College of Tagum, Inc. Nursing Program proudly joined the parade and participated in the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial (IACM) 2026 last May 14, 2026. Together, we stood in remembrance of the lives lost to HIV/AIDS, while continuing to spread awareness, compassion, and hope for those living with the disease.

As future healthcare professionals, we believe that education, empathy, and unity are powerful tools in fighting stigma and discrimination. Every candle lit symbolizes a life remembered, a story honored, and a commitment to continue the advocacy for HIV awareness and support.

Today, we celebrate the 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝, 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 of every nurse who continues to serve with courage and humanity. On this International Nurses Day, we recognize the individuals who work tirelessly not only to treat illnesses, but also to bring comfort, hope, and healing to every life they touch.

As future healthcare professionals, may we continue to embody the values of compassion, service, and excellence in every step of our journey. To all nurses around the world — thank you for being the light in every patient’s darkest moments. Your sacrifices, patience, and unwavering commitment will always be remembered and appreciated.
