𝐃𝐀𝐄𝐋𝐘 𝐃𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐖𝐈𝐒𝐃𝐎𝐌 | Paper Wings and Golden Standards

We carry our worth like fragile glass, afraid that one mistake might make it shatter.

We look at those who seem to win effortlessly and wonder,

“𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘢𝘮 𝘐 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶?”

Some people seem to have stardust in their veins, while we struggle with paper wings, trying to fly beneath the weight of expectations.

And so we run.

Grades. Medals. Applause. Recognition.
Chasing anything that might convince us that we are enough.

But what happens when the applause stops?
When the trophies gather dust?
When you can no longer keep performing?

𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯?

Maybe we were never meant to live beneath golden standards that were never made for real people.

Maybe falling short does not mean we are failures.
Maybe we are simply human.

You were never meant to be a machine.
You were never meant to be the best at everything.
You were meant to be real.

To stumble. To rest. To rebuild.
You are not someone else’s shadow.
You are your own sky.

And perhaps the stars you admire in others are not there to remind you how far behind you are.

Perhaps they are simply showing you that light exists—
and that you have some of your own.

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿.

And that has always been enough.
