We proudly congratulate the 22 newly licensed amateur radio operators from UMTC-HEARS (10 Class C, and 12 Class D). This achievement reflects their dedication, discipline, and commitment to mastering the principles and responsibilities of amateur radio communication. Their accomplishment marks an important milestone, not only in their personal journeys but also in strengthening the community of skilled and responsible radio operators.

There is nothing quite like the feeling of finally putting your license to work! ๐Ÿ“ปโœจ

Instead of just framing their new Amateur Radio Operator Certificates, our newly licensed operators jumped straight into the field to get their hands dirty. Guided by Amateur Radio Club DX9NHR, the HEARS team got to work setting up antennas, tuning base radios, and turning textbook theory into real-world contact.

This wasn't just practiceโ€”it was their official welcome into the amateur radio community.

On June 19, 2026, our HEARS family came together for the Turnover Ceremony of the NTC Amateur Radio Certificates, and it was more than just a formal event โ€” it was a celebration of hard work, passion, and community.

On April 07, 2026, the HEARS-UMTC Society, in partnership with DX9NHR NORCOM HAM RADIO NETWORK INCORPORATED, successfully conducted the Orientation Seminar on the Fundamentals of Amateur Radio at the UMTC Visayan Campus.

The seminar was organized to fulfill the requirements of NTC Memorandum Circular No. 6-7 for Class C and D Amateur Radio Operator Examinations. It was headed by DX9NHR NORCOM HAM RADIO NETWORK INCORPORATED, with distinguished speakers delivering key elements of the program:

Ryann Jusil C. Ocial, DV9KPV: Element 3 โ€“ Electrical and Electronics Principles and Element 4 โ€“ Amateur Radio Practice

This activity provided participants with essential knowledge on radio rules, electronics fundamentals, and practical applications, equipping them for their future journey as amateur radio operators. We were thrilled to be part of the UMTC Paskohan 2025 Booth at the Arellano Campus! ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ“ก Visitors dropped by the booth and experienced the exciting world of amateur radio through showcasing our radios and antennas, along with a special bulletin board featuring our org officers and a calendar of activities, so everyone could get to know us better.

This setup was made possible through the amazing collaboration of Engineering Organizations, big thanks to our fellow orgs for helping us bring the booth to life! ๐Ÿคโœจ We made this Paskohan season more vibrant and connected. Friends joined us, supported us, and had fun with us โ€” the frequency was open, and the signal was strong! ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ๐ŸŽ‰
