The future of technology is global, and our very own Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering students from UM Tagum College are getting a firsthand look! Ten determined CpE dragons, guided by their visionary program head, Engr. Zoida Clara L. Yamba, have officially embarked on a transformative educational cross-border trip to Malaysia. Their journey from Davao to Kuala Lumpur from August 17-21, 2026, marks the beginning of an intensive exposure to some of Southeast Asia's leading academic and technological institutions. This incredible initiative is all about bridging the gap between classroom theory and real-world global industry practices.

Just arrived and already immersed, our students are set for a whirlwind of innovation. Over the next few days, their 'Final Itinerary' is packed with prestigious visits, including Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation, Multimedia University in Cyberjaya, UTM, and the historic Universiti Malaya. From academic exchange to exploring iconic landmarks like the Petronas Twin Towers, this trip represents a quantum leap in their educational journey.

While they are just beginning to collect experiences, the buzz of excitement is already palpable.

Stay tuned for exclusive updates and witness our UMTC CpE students redefine boundaries and innovate the future—one global city at a time!

𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐘, 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐏

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀...

Our freshmen Computer Engineering students officially got a glimpse of life at the Visayan Campus as they explored the school grounds, facilities, and spaces they will soon call their second home.

More than just a campus tour, it was a chance to get familiar with the place, meet fellow CPE students/seniors and slowly turn those unfamiliar hallways into spaces filled with memories. From finding classrooms to discovering new spots to hang out, every corner became part of their first campus experience.

Welcome to the CPE family, freshmen...

The journey may come with confusing schedules, challenging subjects, and a few “asa ni nga room gani?” moments—but every great engineering journey starts with a first step. And yours starts here at Visayan Campus.
