As we commemorate Ninoy Aquino Day, we asked our faculty and staff a series of questions about Ninoy’s legacy, the lessons from his life, the values worth standing up for, and the inspiration they draw from his courage and self-sacrifice.

Their reflections remind us that Ninoy’s legacy continues to inspire not only the youth, but also those who teach, guide, and serve our university community. Through their experiences and perspectives, we are reminded of the importance of standing for what is right and helping shape a community grounded in justice, equality, and responsible freedom.

Ninoy’s legacy lives on through the voices of the Filipino youth. 🇵🇭💛

On this day, we remember the courage of Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., his love for our country, and his fight for democracy and justice.

As we commemorate Ninoy Aquino Day, we asked our students a series of questions about freedom, democracy, courage, and the values worth standing up for.

Their reflections remind us that Ninoy’s legacy is not only a story from the past—it continues to live through the voices, choices, and actions of today’s generation.

May we continue to speak up for what is right, stand for justice, and use our freedom responsibly.

His legacy reminds us that freedom is never given without sacrifice, and that true leadership means standing for what is right—even when it comes at a cost.

The College of Education (COED) of Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) gathered to give thanks for a season of achievement by holding a thanksgiving celebration at the Roy’s Convention Center and Hotel on August 20, 2026.

The event honored the college’s topnotchers and passers in the September 2025 and March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT), as well as challenged the takers of the upcoming board exam next month.

INSTITUTIONAL FACULTY ASSEMBLY | CHMSU educators from all campuses are now gathered at the Alijis Campus in Bacolod City for the Institutional Faculty Assembly, August 19, 2026.

President Norberto Mangulabnan, along with university officials and college deans, presented institutional milestones, recognized faculty achievements, and provided updates on instruction and policies.

The assembly also served as an avenue for faculty to raise concerns, inquire about current policies, and provide feedback in response to the presentations.

PNB ON CAMPUS | The Philippine National Bank (PNB) information booth is now at the Fortune Towne Campus, encouraging students, faculty, and staff to open a PNB account using just their mobile devices.

Through the PNB Mobile Banking app, clients can easily access services such as fund transfers, bill payments, checkbook orders, UITF investments, and more, all in a few taps.

Interested individuals may visit the booth to learn more about the application process and other banking services offered by PNB.
