This activity marked a significant milestone for our 2nd Year Students as their lab coats were donned, signifying their readiness to start their Supervised Industrial Training.
The 4th Year Students and Graduating Class of 2024 had their lab coat donning and pinning to mark the start of their journey as chemistry professionals.
The ceremony signifies the official start of a chemistry student's journey into the chemistry profession, symbolizing the transition from being a student to becoming a trainee and practicing professional. Putting on the lab coat is a symbolic transition, representing the student's entrance into the field of chemistry and the high levels of professionalism and empathy they must now display.
The activity started with a Send off Mass, followed by the program proper. Assistant Director for Academic Affairs, Dr. Patrick John G. Delumpa, welcomed the attendees on behalf of the Campus Director, Dr. Eric A. Malo-oy.
Mr. Alter C. Gonzales Jr., BS Chemistry Class of 2023 and former Student Regent of the TUP System was the invited inspirational speaker.
The Chemistry Department is grateful for the support extended by the TUPV Administration, the faculty and staff, parents and guardians, generous sponsors and all the students who made this important event a success!
Reflecting on an incredible day at our 1st Lab Coat Donning and Pinning Ceremony, we are so proud of our future scientists as they discover the scientific world outside the walls of our institution. Congratulations to all!
To God be The Glory!
