Leadership begins with the willingness to serve. As we prepare to elect the next set of student leaders who will represent the Political Science Society, the 𝐏𝐒𝐒 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 officially announces the schedule and guidelines for the 𝐏𝐒𝐒 𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 2026. We encourage all aspiring candidates and members to take note of the following important dates and election reminders to ensure a smooth, fair, and orderly electoral process.

Election Guidelines and Reminders:
📍𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐜𝐲 (𝐂𝐎𝐂) shall be conducted online only through the official Google Form provided by the PSS Special Committee on Elections.

📍𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 shall be conducted only by the designated Screening Team and the PSS Special Committee on Election. The screening process will verify the eligibility and qualifications of all aspiring candidates in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and By Laws.
📍𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐝
As part of the online campaign, the PSS Special Committee on Election will publish the official campaign materials and candidate profiles of all qualified candidates on the official page of the Political Science Society, ensuring equal opportunity and visibility for every candidate.
Candidates may also have a option to conduct in-person campaigning, provided that they have properly coordinated with the concerned class officers and course instructors. This is to ensure that campaign activities are conducted responsibly and that no classes or academic activities are interrupted.
📍𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲
The PSS Special Committee on Election will facilitate the voting process by visiting each classroom in coordination with the respective class officers and course instructors. This arrangement aims to ensure that all eligible students are able to vote while minimising disruption to classes and maintaining the orderly conduct of academic activities.
The PSS remains committed to conducting a fair, transparent, credible, and student-centred election. We encourage every Political Science student to actively participate in this democratic process—whether by aspiring to lead or by exercising the right to vote.
