The Birth Of TYM ( now Community Based Chapter)
On Early 70's, fratwar is anyware around the UNIVERSITY BELT. And our brothers/sisters were having difficulties entering and going out of school. Therefore, all the brothers in Paco, Pandacan, Sta. Ana and San Andres unites. The goal is to help the Fraternity and to Strengthen it. Our brothers who were united (from Paco) were all fearless and did not back out from many fights and pursued. And the name of the group was called Tau Gamma Phi Paco Chapter and was founded on April 6, 1977. The MMRC Gen. Sec. that time was late tol Allen Hernandez. And the Organizers of TAU GAMMA PHI PACO CHAPTER was Tol Arnel de Leon (Adamson Chapter, 1st G.T. of Paco Chapter), Tol Renato "Boying" Sudla (Adamson Chapter), Tol Paul Buenaventura (Adamson Chapter, 1st M.I. of Paco Chapter), Tol Jojo Orbe (Adamson Chapter), Tol Romy Roxas (FEATI Chapter), Dr. Tol Art Chavez (UP Chapter), Tol Ruel Bismani (Aurollo Chapter H.S./Letran), Tol Rico Violeta (National Teachers College) Tol Moving Chaves and tol Peter Ocampo. Tol Romy Roxas worked hard for TAU GAMMA PHI PACO CHAPTER to be recognized but tol Romy Roxas was rejected.
And on March 5, 1978, when tol Ramoncito "Monching" Ocampo were the MMRC Gen. Sec. Tol Monching called a urgent meeting and invited the 14 GT at bakery of tol Monching at Morones, Tondo Manila. He asked the 14 GT to think a solution on how to resolve the fraternity problem because is facing a very critical situation. He said " Mabubura na tayo at nahihirapan na tayong mag recruit ". On March 12, 1978 (2nd meeting of the month), tol Monching asked to 14 GT if they have any solutions or ideas on how to save the reputation and name of our fraternity. Then tol Antonio "Tony Boy" Marchadesh (1978 U.S.T GT) raised his hands and said "Bakit di tayo magtayo ng isang Socio Civic Organization(with No hazing). And on March 19, 1978, tol Monching asked tol tony boy and asked "Ano na yon Plano?" Tol Tony Boy explained and said " tayo ay magtatayo ng isang Socio Civic Organization na kung saan ang grupong ito ay pabango sa kapatirang TAU GAMMA PHI. At magiging lider nito ay isang TRISKELION. At yon YOUTH ay ang e lead ng isang Triskelion. Ang MOVEMENT nito ay sa komunidad at ang mga kabataan ay makikita ang mga Community Services. At tatawagin nating Triskelion Youth Movement (T.Y.M.) ang Socio Civic Group. Ang mga kabataan ay bibilib sa lider na isang Triskelion. At dahil doon ay mangangarap ang isang bata na sumali sa kapatirang TAU GAMMA PHI." And tol Monching said "okey yan, magaling at napaka gandang plano". And tol Monching said to start organizing TYM. But tol Tony Boy said that we need a GUIDE LINES it is a SOCIO CIVIC ORGANIZATION. On March 26, 1978, tol Monching asked the 14 GT to organize the group TYM but tol Tony Boy again said "Nasaan na yon GUIDELINES tol?" And tol Monching said " okey na yan, itayo na ninyo yan TYM".
And the request of tol Romy Roxas for TAU GAMMA PHI PACO CHAPTER to be recognized was approved by tol Monching. But instead of using the name TAU GAMMA PHI PACO CHAPTER the name used was T.Y.M as a blessing name for the approval of Community Base Chapter. And on April 6, 1978 Six First Founding Batch was initiated and they were tol Edgard Roxas, tol Danilo Roxas, tol Rey Magsalin, tol Butch Diores, tol Joey Gavino and tol Nilo Morales. And on September 11,1981, Tol Alfredo Alorro of Manuel Roxas High School is the 1st casualy of CBC/TYM. Years passed the chapter of TYM spread all over the world.And the rest is history.
