𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 | Beneath the Shadows: Exploring Mindanao’s Understory Floral Diversity

Last February 25, 2026, a seminar titled “Beneath the Shadows: Exploring Mindanao’s Understory Floral Diversity with emphasis on Zingiberaceae” was successfully conducted. Students and faculty gathered for an engaging discussion on the richness of Mindanao’s forest understory.

The guest speaker, Mr. Noe P. Mendez, MSc, delivered an insightful lecture on the ecological importance of the Zingiberaceae, followed by an interactive open forum.

We sincerely thank Mr. Noe P. Mendez, MSc, for generously sharing his valuable knowledge and expertise. Appreciation is also extended to Ms. Roxan Eupena Caray, whose coordination ensured the success of the event.

Good day, Ka-BioSA! We would like to inform everyone that there is a change in the time of our Biodiversity Seminar. The adjustment is due to our invited guest speaker who is still traveling and will need additional time to arrive at the venue safely.

To ensure a smooth flow of the program and to give everyone the oppo to fully benefit from the seminar, we have decided to move the seminar to a later time on the same date and venue.

In response to the impacts of 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴, the 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗦𝗔 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 successfully conducted its donation activity today, 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, in the 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝘀, 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗼𝘀. What we shared were not just relief goods, but hope, care, and strength for those affected by the storm.
