𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙉𝙤𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙨!

Land and water are among the fundamental resources that sustain life. They provide our food, livelihoods, and the foundation of our future. When we allow our natural resources to be exploited and destroyed for the interests of a few, it is the people and generations to come who bear the greatest burden.

The 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗰 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 - 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 strongly condemns projects and activities that threaten our environment, livelihoods, and communities. We firmly uphold that genuine development must never come at the expense of our land, water, natural resources, and the rights of communities whose lives and livelihoods depend upon them.

As TSUians and as part of the Tarlac community, 𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙪𝙨 𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙫𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙨. Let us stand together in defense of our environment, our livelihoods, and the communities that depend on them.

True student representation does not just advocate, it delivers.

In a historic milestone for student rights and inclusivity, the 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁, in joint representation with the 𝗧𝗦𝗨 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆, has successfully secured the policy guaranteeing the 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀’ 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 37𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗰 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆.

Names carry our history, our dignity, and our truth. Walking across the commencement stage is the culmination of years of resilience, and no graduate should ever have to compromise who they are at the moment of their highest academic achievement.

This breakthrough proves that when student leaders and institutional leaders align on student rights, transformative change occurs. 𝗧𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 2026, 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲.

A milestone born from dialogue, representation, and the continuous assertion of every student's right to dignity and recognition.

Following continuous dialogue, consultation, and representation, the proposed amendments to the Graduation Attire Guidelines for Batch 2026 have been officially approved, allowing Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming (TGNC) students to wear attire aligned with their gender identity while upholding the formality and dignity of the graduation ceremony.

This development marks a significant and meaningful step toward strengthening gender responsiveness, inclusivity, and student representation within the Tarlac State University community.

Progress may not always arrive all at once, but every policy improved, every space opened, and every voice recognized reflects a community that continues to move forward. This achievement reminds us that when students continue to engage, organize, advocate, and stand together, transformative change becomes possible.

The Office of the Student Regent extends its sincerest recognition to the 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 for its continuous collaboration, initiative, and unwavering commitment to advancing student welfare, representation, and inclusivity within the University.

As the University continues to move forward, the Office remains committed to advocating for policies that promote equality, respect, safe spaces, and the recognition of every student's identity and dignity within the academic community. May this milestone serve not as the end of the conversation, but a reminder that there is 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲—and that through unity, representation, and collective action, meaningful progress will continue to emerges for every Iskolar ng Bayan.
