‎In today’s digital age, coding has become one of the most valuable skills for innovation and problem-solving.

Code war strikes again at STI College Tarlac as IT and Comsci students showcased their skills and intelligence during the Tagisan ng Talino: Codefest 2026.

‎The competition was dominated by talented participants from the second and third year BSIT and Computer Science students, demonstrating their problem-solving abilities, programming knowledge, and teamwork under pressure. The event highlighted the dedication and technical excellence of future IT professionals as the competition provides a platform for aspiring programmers, developers, and technology enthusiasts to showcase their knowledge, creativity, and logical thinking.

‎The champion team will advance to the Cluster Level Competition on April 17, 2026, to be held in Balagtas, Bulacan, where they will represent STI College Tarlac and compete against other top coders from different STI campuses.

‎Congratulations to all participants for showing courage, skill, and innovation. Codefest is not only tests your technical abilities but also encourages teamwork, critical thinking, and perseverance. The journey to greater coding excellence continues!

Knowledge and quick thinking took center stage as students competed in the Think Quest category of the 2026 STI College Tarlac Tagisan ng Talino Local Competition. The event challenged participants through three exciting categories, with questions covering mathematics, history, and logic, testing not only their knowledge but also their ability to analyze and respond under pressure.

Participants demonstrated impressive teamwork, focus, and problem-solving skills as they worked through each round of challenging questions. The competition became a true battle of intellect, where every correct answer brought teams closer to victory.

Rising above the competition, the team composed of Maikeru Yuichi P. Hasegawa, Harvey Vijiga, and Elisha Palmes claimed the championship title. Their strong coordination, sharp reasoning, and quick responses earned them the top spot and the admiration of the judges.

Their victory highlights the power of collaboration and critical thinking, proving that knowledge and determination can lead the way to success.

The local competition for Tagisan ng Talino (TNT) 2026: Essay Does It concluded with a tourism student taking the top spot at the campus level. Natallia Grace Tanedo, a first-year Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) student, was declared the winner after a competitive on-the-spot writing session.

The "Essay Does It" category challenged participants to develop a cohesive and logical piece under a strict time limit. This year, the writers were tasked with answering the question: "As AI becomes an invisible co-pilot in drafting emails, essays, and creative works, at what point does a human lose 'intellectual authority' of their own ideas?" Tanedo’s long essay stood out for its wonderful meaning and depth, providing a perspective that resonated with the criteria and ultimately secured her the first-place position among the other local participants.

Following this victory, Tanedo is now officially the representative of STI College Tarlac for the upcoming Cluster Level competition.
