Moreover, this celebration also honors two of our exemplary alumni from the Bachelor of Elementary Education program, Ms. Kathleen Mercy Vallente and Ms. Chastene Mamucod Parazo, and one of our exemplary alumni from the Bachelor of Secondary Education program, Ms. Ivy Cosme, who brought pride to the University by securing spots among the topnotchers in the said examination.

The College of Education, under the dynamic leadership of the Dean, Dr. Jasper Jay N. Mendoza, geared up for its Level IV 2nd Cycle accreditation status. The program chairs of the five curricular offerings—Dr. Ma. Theresa Acosta for MAED, Dr. Joanne Marie Escalona for BECED, Dr. Mellany Masangkay for BEED, Prof. Elizabeth Balanquit for BSED, and Prof. Paulo Xavier Samson for BTLED, enthusiastically embraced the challenge of preparing for the documentary evaluation. Their careful and dedicated efforts reflect their confidence and optimism in achieving this important milestone.

Tarlac State University virtually welcomed the AACCUP Survey Team on Monday, September 25th, through the heartwarming greetings of Dr. Arnold E. Velasco, conveyed by Dr. Agnes M. Macaraeg, Vice President for Academic Affairs. Also participating in the online assembly were Dr. Erwin Lacanlale, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension, Atty. Wilmark Ramos, Vice President for Administration, Engr. Emir Lenard Sicangco, Director from the Office of Extension Service; Dr. Grace Rosete, Director from the Office of International Affairs and Linkage; Dr. Jay Pabustan, Director from the Office of Planning and Development; Dr. Jazzel Llaneli Manabat, Director from the Office of Public Affairs; Dr. Maria Agnes Ladia, Dean of the Graduate Studies; the working committee from OQA; and COED faculty members.

The overall coordination of Dr. Boyet Batang, university professor from Isabela State University, was determined and assisted by the Office of Quality Assurance under the headship of Dr. Niño Corpuz. Breakout rooms were designated for the presentations and question-and-answer sessions of the 4th survey visit 2nd cycle, facilitated by the assigned team leader and lead accreditor per program.

Similarly, a 1-hour virtual closing program commenced at 9:00 in the morning of September 27th via Zoom. Highlights of the said concluding meeting include the ISU VPAA Dr. Dr. Batang’s report of the external accreditors’ general impressions and salient findings and observations, reciprocated by Dean Mendoza’s statement of commitment and acknowledgment of the challenge to set the bar higher and secure future trajectories for TSU-COED.
