On the evening of April 22, 2026, the USST Colleges Covered Court came alive with excitement and school spirit as students, faculty, and supporters gathered for the much-anticipated Mr. and Ms. USST King and Queen Festival. The event, held at 7:00 PM, showcased not only beauty and charisma but also intelligence and confidence among the contestants.
The panel of judges was composed of distinguished titleholders, adding prestige to the event. These included Binibining Pilipinas Tarlac Province Ms. Sasha Lacuna, Binibining Kanlahi 2026 Ms. Jean Grai D. De Jesus, Ms. Moncada 2026 Ms. Hannah Facun, Ms. Tarlac City 2026 2nd Runner-Up Ms. Sharmin Kaur Sohal, and Mr. TSU Intramurals 2026 Mr. Carl Justine Cariño. Their expertise and experience in pageantry ensured a fair and well-evaluated competition.
Dominating the night was the Department of Criminal Justice Education, which proudly claimed both titles, marking a remarkable achievement for the department. Representing them with grace and excellence was Angel Anne Abrenica, a 21-year-old fourth-year criminology student, who was crowned Ms. USST 2026. Her standout performance throughout the competition, especially during the question-and-answer portion, captured the attention of both the judges and the audience. When asked by judge Hannah Facun, Abrenica delivered a thoughtful and articulate response, proving that her beauty is matched by her intellect.
Equally impressive was Janvier De Guzman, a 25-year-old criminology student, who took home the title of Mr. USST 2026. Known for his natural charm and striking presence, De Guzman easily won over the crowd. His confidence shone during the question-and-answer segment, where he responded eloquently to judge Jean Grai D. De Jesus. His engaging smile and composed demeanor drew loud cheers from the audience, solidifying his victory.
The competition was tight, with other departments also delivering remarkable performances. The Social Work Department secured the 1st Runner-Up titles, represented by Aella Torres and Paolo dela Cruz, both fourth-year Social Work students, who impressed the judges with their poise and stage presence.
Following closely, the Department of Education earned the 2nd Runner-Up positions through Ruby Ann dela Cruz and Nathaniel Sagcal Mandap, whose performances demonstrated beauty, confidence and strong communication skills.
The 3rd Runner-Up spots were claimed by Ghian Anssey Imbat of the Business Administration Department and Angelica Biag of the Hospitality Management Department, both of whom brought energy and uniqueness to the stage.
Meanwhile, the 4th Runner-Up titles went to Catherine Escobar Feliciano of the Business Administration Department and Zvi Ysrael Batuan of the Hospitality Management Department, rounding out a roster of beauty, talented and competitive participants.
Despite the fierce competition, the atmosphere remained lively and celebratory. Each contestant brought their own unique flair to the stage, making the event both competitive and entertaining. In the end, the festival was not just about winning titles but also about showcasing talent, building confidence, and fostering camaraderie among students.
The Mr. and Ms. USST 2026 King and Queen Festival proved to be a memorable night filled with excitement, pride, and unforgettable moments for everyone in attendance.
