Tarlac State University underwent a compliance audit by the Commission on Audit (COA) regarding its Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan (LUDIP) on Tuesday (August 25) at the TSU Hotel, Lucinda Campus.

During the exit conference, the audit team discussed the audit findings and the status of implementation.

The Audit Team R3-08 members, composed of Supervising Auditor Imelda Latay, State Auditor IV, OIC-Audit Team Leader Atty. Meliza Joy Manalo, and Audit Team member Mr. Jay Mer Tabugan, concluded the audit fieldwork.

โ€œI would really want to practice data-driven governance. Thatโ€™s why we would want to base all our reports on the data that were explained to us,โ€ Pres. Mendoza said.

Unlike a financial audit, a compliance audit focuses on transactions and activities to determine whether the agency complied with applicable laws, rules, contracts, and regulations.

Tarlac State University joined the nation in celebrating ASEAN Month 2026 during the simultaneous flag-raising ceremonies at its three campuses today (August 25), carrying this yearโ€™s theme, โ€œSetting Sail for ASEAN 2026: Navigating Our Future, Together.โ€

In line with the celebration, the Office of International Affairs and Linkages, led by its director Dr. Ninez B. Tulo, organized the Best ASEAN Male and Female Attire contest, which brought together students, teaching personnel, and non-teaching employees across the campuses. Winners received โ‚ฑ2,000, while consolation prizes of โ‚ฑ500 and โ‚ฑ200 were also awarded.

Anchoring his message on this week's value focus of discipline and order, University President Dr. Jasper Jay N. Mendoza likened ASEAN and TSU to a ship whose journey depends on collective effort.

โ€œA ship does not move by the strength of one sailor alone; it moves because many hands pull the ropes, read the winds, and steer toward a shared horizon. That is ASEAN...That is TSU.โ€

Tarlac State University and the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III successfully conducted the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) on-site monitoring and evaluation visit for the College of Education on August 19, 2026, at the TSU Hotel, Lucinda campus.

The evaluation covered thirteen (13) undergraduate programs and thirteen (13) graduate programs, as well as institutional areas such as Common Areas, Student Affairs and Services programs, Tuition and Other School Fees (TOSF), and UNIFAST compliance.

University President Dr. Jasper Jay N. Mendoza thanked each member of the RQAT for treating the quality of another institutionโ€™s program as their own responsibility.

โ€œWe request, tulungan niyo po kami sa aming kolehiyo - not to pass, not to look good, not to secure a rating we can announce after work. But tulungan niyo po kami sa aming kolehiyo at ang aming pamantasan na tiyakin ang kalidad ng edukasyon na aming ibibigay sa aming mga estudyante,โ€ he said.
