Forty years ago, history stood still on EDSA. Ordinary Filipinos came together with extraordinary courage, choosing unity, peace, and truth over fear. Without violence, voices became power and collective action reshaped the nation’s future.

The EDSA People Power Revolution reminds us that democracy lives through participation. It proves that change does not always come from force, but from conviction, solidarity, and the willingness to stand for what is right. For the youth of today, its legacy is a reminder that freedom was fought for and must continue to be protected.

It was an engaging and insightful session made even more meaningful by our amazing speaker, Mr. Niño Mar Aguilos.

On January 30, 2026 Programmers' Den in collaboration with TSU - CCS Society for Information Systems Students conducted the Data Analytics 101: How Data Turns Into Decisions Seminar, with 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬' 𝐃𝐞𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐊𝐲𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐧, 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲, hosting the event.

The seminar introduces and gives advanced industry insights into data analytics to students, especially to those who study information systems.

𝐌𝐫. 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐫 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐬, 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬' 𝐃𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭, led the seminar. He began by explaining what data analytics is and why it plays a vital role in industry success. The discussion then progressed into practical frameworks and industry perspectives, allowing students to better understand how analytics is applied beyond theory.

The seminar included the D.A.T.A. Framework and D.A.T.A guardrails as key topics, which is Mr. Nino's most used method to conduct secure data analysis operations.

He also presented common data analytics pitfalls, which helps participants learn how to detect specific mistakes that occur when people misinterpret data and handle data with low-quality sets.
