Good day, TSUians!
As the newly elected leaders enter a new leadership journey, it is the committee’s responsibility to make the event memorable and convenient to all. The constant changes in place, time, and details posted on the committee’s page were made for serious reasons.
The Committee on Student Elections (COMSELEC) admitted that there were harmless mistakes made which includes misspelling of names and incomplete details, that are immediately corrected.
Furthermore, the postponement of the event and changes in venue were decided in order to ensure safety of the students as the university was under a public threat. It was then changed because of the concerns received by the committee, emphasizing the respect to the traditional way of taking the oath.
Another concern was brought up to the committee, suggesting that the event should take place on AVR-TSU, Main Campus. The reason for this is still unknown. The decision for this suggestion is still in process.
Due to the constant changes of venue, the earlier posts about Oath Taking 2026 were taken down to avoid confusion as the committee needed to upload another announcement; which was then revised to meet specific demands brought up to the committee.
It was not easy for the committee to postpone and change the venue of this memorable event as we consider this a major step for the newly elected leaders. We extend our deepest apology if the revisions of past posts led to confusion.
Please note that the final statement and decision of the Committee on Student Elections (COMSELEC) will be irrevocable as the committee stands firm of the decision made and to avoid confusion.
Thank you, and God bless us all!
