A seminar titled โFrom Concept to Creation: The Role of a Multimedia Artist in Modern Communicationโ was conducted on May 4, 2026, aiming to deepen studentsโ understanding of multimedia arts and its growing role in modern communication.
The seminar explored how creative concepts are transformed into impactful visual stories while introducing participants to the essential skills and opportunities within the multimedia industry.
The program was organized by Maria Scult Valencia, Abimael Viray, Lorie Joy Manaloto, Kimberly Bautista, and Arleen Capulong, who each handled discussions relevant to the seminarโs core objective.
Valencia discussed the basics, media forms, and tools of multimedia arts, while Viray focused on balancing creativity and effective communication. Manaloto tackled the creative process behind multimedia production, Bautista discussed professional skills needed by multimedia artists, and Capulong highlighted the role of multimedia in public communication.
The seminar featured resource speaker Angilene Dableo, a multimedia artist and Cum Laude graduate of BA Communication from Tarlac State University. She previously served as Public Information Officer of the Communicatorsโ Guild and held key editorial positions in The Oracle, including Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, Layout Artist, and Art Director.
Currently working at the Tarlac Provincial Tourism Office as a Graphic Artist, Writer, and Administrative Assistant II, Dableo was chosen as the seminarโs guest speaker because of her extensive experience in editorial leadership, graphic design, video editing, and writing. Through her professional journey, she shared practical insights and industry experiences that inspired participants to explore the creative and professional possibilities within multimedia communication.
Organizers concluded that the seminar provided valuable knowledge on the importance of multimedia arts in todayโs communication landscape, encouraging students to develop both their creativity and technical skills for future media-related careers.
