As instructed by the Fr. Rector-President, all classes tomorrow, August 20, 2026, will shift to Synchronous Learning Activity (SLA), due to anticipated inclement weather caused by the Southwest Monsoon ( ).

In line with Memorandum Circular No 131 issued by Malacanang late this afternoon, the Fr. Rector-President is amending the previous announcement pertaining to the work arrangement:

Office work operation in SBU Manila and Rizal is suspended tomorrow, August 20, 2026.

However, those offices which render essential services may report onsite, and those which need to finish their respective deliverable may adopt a work from home arrangement, subject to the assessment and discretion of their respective office heads.

SBU IBED Guidance and Counseling Office, in partnership with the IBED Administrators, brings together our security personnel, janitorial staff, school tranport personnel and office staff for a consultation and orientation session aimed at strengthening monitoring practices and fostering a culture of care, vigilance, and protection within our school community.

This session highlights the vital role of our support personnel in safeguarding the welfare of Bedans, particularly those who may be facing silent struggles. It seeks to equip our valued partners with the knowledge and skills to recognize students who may be at risk, respond appropriately to signs of concern, and understand the school's mental health crisis management system, including referral pathways and postvention protocols.

Together, we play an essential role in creating a safe, secure, and nurturing environment where every Bedan feels valued, protected, supported, and cared for. Through shared responsibility and collective vigilance, we strengthen our commitment to student well-being and uphold a community where care and protection are everyone's concern.

in view of the inclement weather, classes at all levels of San Beda University – Rizal Campus will shift to Synchronous Learning Activity (SLA) modality tomorrow, August 19, 2026 (Wednesday).

Students are advised to coordinate with their respective teachers and follow the instructions regarding their synchronous learning sessions.

The University encourages everyone to prioritize their safety and remain vigilant amid the prevailing weather conditions.

The IBED Guidance and Counseling Office invite all Bedan parents and guardians to our 2nd Parents’ Learning Session entitled:
“The Home Advantage: Empowering Bedan Parents to Prevent Bullying and Aggression through Positive Parenting” on August 22, 2026, Saturday from 9:00 am - 11:30 am via Zoom.

This session will focus on the important role of the home environment in shaping children’s behavior, emotional well-being, and relationships with others. It will also provide parents with practical strategies for recognizing early signs of bullying and aggression and for fostering empathy, emotional regulation, respectful communication, and responsible digital behavior.

We encourage our parents and guardians to take part in this meaningful learning opportunity as we continue to work together in supporting our children’s holistic development.

Congratulations to the Junior Red Booters for winning an emphatic 5-0 victory against Sienna College of Taytay. The boys will be advancing to the next stage representing the municipality of Taytay and playing in the upcoming Provincial Meet. A big win under the rain to kick off the season.

In view of the uncertain prevailing weather conditions, please be informed that face-to-face classes will be suspended tomorrow, August 18, 2026 (Tuesday).

Asynchronous Learning Activity (ALA) will be conducted instead. Students are advised to access the assigned learning materials and activities through Genyo or Microsoft Teams and complete them within the given schedule.

Bedans are also encouraged to use this time to review and prepare for the upcoming First Quarter Examination.
