Ito ay binubuo ng sulfur dioxide (SO2) gas at ibang volcanic gases, na humahalo sa atmospheric oxygen, moisture, alikabok, at sikat ng araw.
Ito ay nagreresulta sa hazy mixture o ang napapansing paglabo ng kapaligiran kapag ito ay laganap sa lugar.

Narito ang ilang mga 𝗽𝗮𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗮 at 𝗵𝗮𝗸𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗴 upang maprotektahan ang sarili mula sa epekto ng vog.

𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗱 𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲
• Lumayo sa pinanggagalingan ng volcanic gas
• Manatili lamang sa loob ng bahay at isara ang mga bintana at pintuan upang maiwasang makapasok sa loob ng bahay

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗸𝘁𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗶
• Gumamit ng N95 face mask o gas mask
• Uminom ng maraming tubig upang maibsan ang iritasyon o paninikip ng daluyan ng paghinga
• Magpatingin agad sa doctor o sa barangay health unit kung kinakailangan
