The PalawanSU University Research and Creative Works Office (URCWO) successfully conducted the second leg of its visitation series at the Main Campus for the College of Engineering (CoE) and the College of Architecture and Design (CAD)!
This session focused on providing our faculty researchers with the essential tools and knowledge to navigate university protocols and excel in their scholarly endeavors.

Highlights of the session included:
βœ…οΈ RDI Agenda & Internal Funding: An in-depth look at the Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) Agenda and the step-by-step process for securing internal research funding, led by Ms. Mishel Angielic G. Castro.
βœ…οΈ Institutional Targets: A discussion on the 2026 PrExC and PBB targets, including key indicators for publications and research utilization, presented by Ms. Alexes Mae C. Diaz.

Palawan State University, in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources - Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) successfully completed a two-day capacity-building program and turnover ceremony for its new Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring System (CAAQMS).

The installation of this system enhances the University's ability to conduct real-time air quality monitoring, environmental research, and science-based policy support. This initiative serves as a vital resource for academic instruction and supports data-driven environmental management within the region.

Palawan State University, hosted a partnership discussion with the University of Santo Tomas (UST) to advance Project ESEM (Establishing Sites for Effective Monitoring of Stream and Marine Coastal Ecosystems).

The collaboration focused on streamlining field sampling, laboratory analysis, and data interpretation within the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park. This meeting strengthens our collective pursuit of impactful environmental research and academic excellence.

Sustainable Development Goals-Focused Research, Development, and Innovation Grants (SDG-RDIG)

The Commission, through the ACHIEVE Framework, is now accepting research proposals for the Sustainable Development Goals-Focused Research, Development, and Innovation Grants (SDG-RDIG).

The SDG-RDIG is a competitive grant that provides up to Ten Million Pesos (Php 10,000,000.00) per year, for a maximum project duration of three (3) years to successful consortia composed of at least three (3) participating Higher Education Institutions (HEI), inclusive of the Lead HEI.
