LOOK | Women's Basketball

Our campus' finest team players for Basketball Women had recently claimed for the prize in their latest game against CTHM with a landslide score of 63-16 across the 4 sets. This solidified their claim in continuing their journey in University Gymnasium of CvSU Indang today, May 12, 2026.

Led by their Team Captain, Carvajal numbered as 01, the Golden Martyrs conquered their first set as smooth as butter as they lightly slid over with an ending set score of 18-6.

Consecutively, next two sets of 2nd and 3rd quickly followed with the same pattern of scoring with the Golden Martyrs not letting their opponents to even comeback for just a minute. Ending the sets with a score of 39-10 and 53-10 respectively.

To end the battle with a classic mic drop, the Golden Martyrs did not waver any moment of weakness and continued their game style ending the entire game with a finishing score of 63-16.

This wit-devouring playstyle has been observed on the team of Golden Martyrs' Basketball Women category. Never backing down, and not even letting their opponent to rise back on the ranks.

LOOK | Volleyball Men

Persevering were the Golden Martyrs when they fought today to claim the victory for Volleyball in Men's Category. Unfortunately, our team failed to do so in the battle for their legacy in the Open Court of CvSU Indang today on March 12, 2026.

Starting with a heated battle for dominance, the Golden Martyrs gave their best in proving that they too can bag the honor. This however failed in the first set as the team for CSPEAR quickly blocked them as they ended set on a 20-25 score, securing their first set.

In a struggle to reclaim the top spot, the Golden Martyrs did not waiver their claim. This attempt for resurgence quickly dwindled as CSPEAR once again became the winner for the second set ending on a 20-25 score, locking their victory.

Though this may come to some as an upset, this is still a learning opportunity for the players to study their tactics, the campus is hopeful for a successful comeback as a team of a stronger foundation.

JUST IN | Chess Men

The Golden Martyrs Chess Grandmasters proved no beginners' luck on their second day of rampage for Chess Men Category in the Rolle Hall of CvSU Indang today May 12, 2025.

Initially, the Martyrs pondered on their opponents' potential playstyles that gave them another view of attack. This resulted in consecutive losses for fourth round on boards 1 and 2 against CEIT and CON respectively, losses that were incurred for a valuable cost. As the board 3 led by Camar resulted in a draw while board 4 driven by Apolinario clinched victory, the Golden Martyrs is now gaining traction and is back to their footing.

As they are now fired up with energy of the game, the fifth round came out in favor of Trece as boards 1 and 2 were all won by Martyrs' Rareza and Maquilan. While boards 3-4 were lost to Carmona and CAS respectively, the Martyrs still have given their best to the very end and held their heads high.

This campus' Grandmasters Rareza, Maquilan, Camar, and Apolinario are basking in the radiance of victory while we wait for their next set of games. For now, we all hope they push through their games smoothly no matter how great their opponents are.

JUST IN | Chess Women

Gaining the same color, expertise, and pride of the Martyrs, the Women's Team of Grandmasters for Chess have fought well and hard and became a hindrance to their opponents in bagging wins today, May 12, 2026 at the Rolle Hall of CvSU Indang.

The Queens of Chess have arrived and played the same style of slowburn contests against their opponents from Carmona, CAS, and CCJ Letting their opponents get ahead of them on boards 1-3 on the fourth round.

But ultimately, the gradual approach of our Martyrs have proven to be effective in their fifth round as board 3 was ultimately won by Trece against Baccor, played by Policarpio. On the otherhand, Fuentes was still regaining her footing as she ended her match as draw against CON. Sadly, the board 2 match was lost to Imus as it was played by Deguibo.

Proving that it was not how the game starts, but how it ends, the Martyrs fought for a final chance on their fifth round across all boards. The queens, Fuentes, Deguibo, and star player, Policarpio, have given a well fought battle that rewarded them with a total victory nonetheless.

Gender is not an issue when it comes to the war of the pieces. The women's team of the The Martyrs have proven that they have the class, style, and cadence of a true Grandmaster. The campus awaits their next set of moves, may their choices lead them to their continued excellence.
