The Junior Industrial Engineering (BSIE) students made a strong impression at the recently concluded 1st International and 4th Institutional Research Congress and Online Discussion (RECOD) 2026, held on April 15โ16 at the Social Hall of CTUโTuburan Campus.
Anchored on the theme โ๐๐ฆ๐ค๐ฉ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ญ๐ฐ๐จ๐ช๐ค๐ข๐ญ ๐๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ท๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ค๐ข๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ช๐ค ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ข๐ช๐ฏ๐ข๐ฃ๐ช๐ญ๐ช๐ต๐บ ๐๐ฐ๐ธ๐ข๐ณ๐ฅ๐ด ๐ข ๐๐ฆ๐ด๐ช๐ญ๐ช๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต ๐๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฏ ๐๐ฏ๐ท๐ช๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต,โ the event brought together researchers, students, and innovators committed to developing research-driven solutions for todayโs evolving challenges. Demonstrating their strengths in technical communication and systems thinking, the BSIE students delivered outstanding performances, earning recognition in the Best Paper Presenter category and bringing pride to their program.
Leading the roster of achievers, ๐๐๐๐ฟ๐ผ ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ ๐๐๐ป๐ฎ๐ป๐ฎ๐ป secured ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ and also earned the ๐๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ผ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ ๐๐บ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ. Cunanan presented the study titled โ๐๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฌ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ๐ค๐ฆ ๐๐ฑ๐ต๐ช๐ฎ๐ช๐ป๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐๐ฐ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ญ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ฎ๐ฃ๐ข๐ฏ ๐๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด๐ต๐ณ๐ถ๐ค๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ณ๐ช๐ฏ๐ฆ ๐๐ฆ๐ณ๐ท๐ช๐ค๐ฆ๐ด,โ which addresses issues such as overtime, skill mismatch, and cost overruns. The research utilized Integer Linear Programming to develop an efficient workforce allocation model. The study was authored by BSIE alumni Cayla D. Dejito, Mariel B. Gallarde, and Josephene Marie O. Sabanal.
Meanwhile, ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ป ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ earned ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ for his research on local agricultural systems. The research aims to empower local farmers by improving direct market access while offering a scalable and sustainable approach to rural economic development.
