LIGHTING THE PATH: DR. ANTONIO INSPIRES FUTURE MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTISTS
Dr. Cherry Lou M. Antonio, Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) Medical Center Chief II, served as the esteemed keynote speaker during the Laboratory Gown Donning, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremonies of Batch Ad Vitam Servandam 2026 at the Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines (MCNP), held on May 21, 2025.
In her address, Dr. Antonio inspired the next generation of Medical Laboratory Scientists with a powerful message on integrity, innovation, and service in healthcare. Emphasizing the often-unseen yet critical role of medical laboratory professionals, she reminded the students, "While your work may be behind the scenes, its impact is always at the heart of saving lives.โ
Dr. Antonio also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the MCNP leadership, particularly President Dr. Christian R. Guzman, for the invitation and opportunity to share in such a significant milestone of the studentsโ academic journey. She commended the institutionโs unwavering dedication to producing competent, ethical, and service-driven healthcare professionals.
