ANDREWS OWLS REIGN SUPREME, DEFEND CSUβPASUC CROWNS
Andrews Campus reaffirmed its dominance after successfully retaining both Mr. and Ms. CSUβPASUC titles during the University Meet staged at Cagayan State University β Carig Campus on February 12.
Leading the charge were Trixie Diane Maza and Gregorio Jose Maliwat, who rose above representatives from nine campuses to secure the 2026 crowns.
Their victory cements a back-to-back achievement for Andrews, following the 2024 reign of Kyle Aron Tan and Maria Isabela Caliguiran.
In the final question-and-answer round, Maza underscored the value of unity among CSUans. Choosing βunifying presenceβ among the universityβs core values, she emphasized that despite coming from different campuses and diverse voices, students remain united under one CSU, working toward a shared mission of excellence β a defining mark of βtatak CSU.β
Maliwat, in his closing response, centered his message on excellence. He reflected on how joining the pageant and undergoing rigorous preparation strengthened not only his skills and talents but also his commitment to uphold the standard of being a true CSUan.
For him, excellence is not merely an ideal but a responsibility carried by every student of the university.
With their victory, Maza and Maliwat are set to represent CSU at the upcoming Cagayan Valley Regional Association of State Universities and Colleges meet, which will be hosted by Nueva Vizcaya State University in March 2026.
