Every October, we celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Month, a time to recognize the rich cultures, traditions, knowledge, and contributions of Indigenous Peoples in the Philippines.

Beyond the colorful traditions and stories passed down through generations are communities whose identity and heritage continue to shape our nation. This month reminds us to listen, learn, and appreciate their cultures—not only during October, but throughout the year.

Let us celebrate diversity, respect Indigenous traditions, and help preserve the heritage that makes our country truly rich.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | 𝐒𝐒𝐋𝐆 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐀 𝐁𝐔𝐋𝐋𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆-𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋

The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) spearheaded the Peace Education and Anti-Bullying Campaign with the theme “Choose Kindness, Build Peace, Stop Bullying,” aiming to raise awareness among Senior High School students about the effects of bullying and the importance of creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment.

The campaign highlighted that bullying may take various forms, including physical, verbal, social, and online, emphasizing that its effects can extend beyond the immediate incident.

Through the initiative, students were encouraged to take an active role in preventing bullying by speaking up against harmful behavior, supporting those who may feel isolated, and reporting incidents to the appropriate authorities.

The campaign further emphasized the role of students not merely as bystanders but as members of the school community who can contribute to promoting peace, kindness, and respect.

The SSLG continues to encourage students to stand together and be part of the change toward a safer and more inclusive school community.

𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐇𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒

EVERYONE knows that one teacher with the most iconic lines ever. The one who lights up and goes, “Ay atake siya!” when someone gives a great answer; the legend who shouts, “BOYS / GIRLS AT THE BACK!” to get everyone’s attention; the coffee devotee who goes, “Wait, timpla lang ako ng kape ko” even when it’s super hot—because kape is life, talaga! We also have the one who casually asks, “Nuggets?” right after class; the one who laughs and says, “Ay nakatulog” when the answer lags; and the one whose words stick the most: “Nak, okay lang ‘yan” when we get low scores on quizzes.

But beyond the laughs and unforgettable lines, these are the people who truly see us—yung nagtutulak sa atin na abutin ang ating mga pangarap. So to every “favorite line ni teacher” out there—thank you for your patience, your humor, your endless coffee runs, and for being our nation’s realest, most lovely heroes. Your lines live rent-free in our heads forever, and your kindness stays in our hearts always. We love you po!

Sa teacher na may "side quest" tuwing magbabalik ng test paper. Sa teacher na "last explanation na 'to" pero 3x pa inulit. Sa bawat leksyon, tawa, at paalala—pagmamahal ay hindi nawawala. At sa likod ng bawat grado at "last na 'to”, may gurong naniniwala. Kayo ang nnagtuturo, gumagabay, at isa sa mga bumubuo ng aming kinabukasan.
