𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫⁣
⁣
In celebration of Mother's Day, the SABH Council conducted "The Pride of a Mother" last Monday, May 11, as a heartfelt tribute to the women who balance professional excellence with maternal devotion. Handcrafted fuzzy wire flowers were distributed to the mothers within our department. These everlasting blossoms served as a colorful symbol of our deep appreciation for their dedication and for the nurturing environment they create for both their families and our students.⁣
⁣
The event offered a genuine celebration of love and resilience. As each mother received her wire flower, the smiles and shared stories highlighted the impact these women have on the SABH community. By honoring their strength and grace, the council ensured that Mother’s Day was celebrated with the creativity and warmth that defines our department, leaving every mother with a reminder that their hard work are always seen.⁣

Being a student-leader holds a heavy responsibility that exceeds the title. It is a 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦 of leadership worn not for status, but as a commitment in putting the needs of others before your own and working hard to represent everyone fairly. This role requires balancing difficult school works with the duty of speaking up for your fellow students, hearing their concerns, and acting for solutions.⁣

The candidates in this election showed courage and compassion by stepping forward to lead. Their passion was clear in their ideas and their willingness to face the public. It takes a lot of heart to initiate, and these individuals proved they care deeply on making our department a better place for everyone.⁣

The Hospitality and Tourism Management Program of the School of Accountancy, Business, and Hospitality achieved the highest number of research utilizations for the School Year 2025-2026, awarded by the University Research and Innovation Office for RISE Week 2026.⁣

​Faculty and students from the program had an outstanding contribution to research and reflects their commitment to scholarly work, research dissemination, and academic excellence. Moreover, they have helped in achieving the university’s vision for research excellence, innovation, and societal impact.⁣

Project ASTA: ABM-SHS Tutorial Activity, led by the accounting program of the School of Accountancy, Business, and Hospitality, recently garnered three 2nd runner-up placing for Best Service Learning Program, Best Audio-Visual Presentation, and Best Exhibit Banner during the RISE and SERVE Week 2026 of the Community Engagement and CICM Advocacies Office.⁣

​Project ASTA began in April 2019 and has been in the works for seven years. It is a one-day community engagement initiative organized by Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and Management Accounting students of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao for partner schools. The program delivers structured tutorial sessions on basic accounting concepts to strengthen the foundational knowledge and practical skills of senior high school students.⁣
