The Bohol Northern Star College, Inc. (BNSC) reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence and community development as it successfully concluded the Final Defense of Faculty Research Outputs on December 3 and 4, 2025, at the BNSC Conference Room. Faculty members from four colleges presented research focused on enhancing education, supporting local businesses, strengthening public safety, and modernizing institutional operations.
The event started on December 3 with the College of Teachers Education presenting its study titled โBohol Northern Star College Studentsโ Perceptions of Teacher Competencies in Hybrid Learning.โ The research offers valuable insights that will guide refinements in BNSCโs blended learning strategies. In the afternoon, the College of Business, Accountancy and Allied Sciences delivered a study on the โImpact of Loan Accessibility on the Financial Well-being of Food Cart Business Owners in Bohol, Philippines.โ The findings shed light on the financial challenges faced by micro-entrepreneurs and highlighted the importance of accessible lending opportunities to empower local business owners. Both morning and afternoon presentations underwent rigorous evaluation from the distinguished panel composed of Dr. Jeson Bustamante, Dr. Josefino Ronquillo, and Dr. Leonarda Loayon, ensuring that each study met strong academic standards.
The second day of the showcase, held on December 4, highlighted research with significant implications for public service and institutional technology. The College of Arts & Sciences (Criminal Justice Education & Humanities, Social Sciences, and Communication) shared findings from its research titled โPerformance Assessment of Barangay Public Safety Officers in Community Policing: Basis for Training Interventions,โ offering data-driven recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of Barangay Public Safety Officers in the province. The event concluded with the College of Technology (Industrial Technology & Information Technology) presenting โAttendance Monitoring of Bohol Northern Star College Students: Basis for Technological Innovation.โ The study demonstrated the potential of digital innovations to improve campus operations and overall administrative efficiency.
The research showcase ended on a high note with the awarding of certificates of appreciation to both presenters and panelists, recognizing their dedication, scholarly contributions, and invaluable guidance.
The successful completion of the Final Defense highlights BNSCโs steadfast commitment to reinforcing its role in generating knowledge that contributes to the continued growth and development of the Bohol community.
