Why Fasting Every First Friday?

It’s tied to 2 Catholic traditions.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus
The Promise: St. Margaret Mary Alacoque received visions of Christ in the 1600s. He asked for devotion to His Sacred Heart, including:
“Holy Communion on the First Friday of 9 consecutive months” for the grace of final perseverance.

The Fast: Fasting + prayer on that First Friday prepares the heart to receive Him worthily. It’s reparation for sins against His Heart.

Penance + Unity for the Order
Penance: Friday is the day of Christ’s Passion. The Church calls Fridays for penance. First Friday becomes the monthly anchor.
Unity: When all 8 Halls of Sagrada Orden District fast together, you’re one fraternity offering one Rosary, one sacrifice, for the Church, peace, and souls. That’s Knight-Crusader discipline.

For K.H.O.S.I / CHOSI:
Fasting = training. Poverty + Simplicity = guardrails. First Friday = the monthly reset to keep the Order focused on Christ, not comfort.

Fasting every First Friday
Why: In honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. First Friday devotion + fasting unites the Order in reparation, prayer, and Rosary intention.
Practice for K.H.O.S.I: All 8 Halls of Sagrada Orden District fast together — food, media, or comfort — and offer it for the Church, peace, and souls.

Embodying Poverty
Meaning: Voluntary simplicity. No attachment to wealth, titles, or display.
For Knights: “Baron, Prince, Lord Knight” are service titles, not riches. The wealth is in the Sacraments, the Rosary, and brotherhood.

Simplicity
Meaning: Strip away excess so Christ is center.
For K.H.O.S.I: Plain meetings, humble outreach, focus on prayer over pageantry. Gold in the heraldry = honor to God, not vanity.

Together: Fasting trains the body. Poverty guards the heart. Simplicity keeps the mission clear: Vivat Jesus! Vivat Maria! Vivat K.H.O.S.I / CHOSI

145 years ago, Spain ended the To***co Monopoly in the PH 🇵🇭
For nearly 100 years, Ilocano farmers had to grow + sell to***co to Spain at fixed prices. Big revenue for the Crown, tough life for the people.
Abolished June 25, 1881. The To***co Monopoly Monument in Laoag still stands as proof we made it through.

I. FOUNDING – 2016: THE GATE OPENS

February 26, 2016 – Alcala, Pangasinan
Charter Granted by Supreme Council U.S. to Sir Joey Viernes Pascua as District Governor.
Mission: Establish Sagrada Banneret Hall as Mother Hall. Cover Central/Northern Luzon with a network of fortresses, not clubs.

Founding Doctrine from Day One:
“We don’t want your money. We want your sons to serve.”

Family Doctrine – One knighting claims one house. Wife = Lady. First-born = Heir.
First Friday 5AM – Mass, Rosary, Formation. No exceptions.
No Empty Mantles – Every Sir Knight must name and train an Heir.

II. EXPANSION – 2017-2023: THE 5-YEAR WAR

2017 – Veritas Banneret Hall chartered in Villasis, Pangasinan. Pangasinan Corridor begins.

2018-2022 – The Sifting Years
DG enforces doctrine hard. Clubs die. Orders survive.
DG Order: “No Hall without dubbings. No Sir Knight without an Heir. Produce or lose charter.”
Many petitions rejected. Only bloodlines approved.

2023 – Doctrine Codified
All 14 District weapons written: Succession
Saranay Network formalized: 1 Hall attacked, all answer.

III. THE 8-HALL STRATEGY – 2024-2025: CASTING THE NET

2024 – 3 Halls Chartered in 12 months
Lumen Urdaneta City | Fidelis Bayambang | Crux Cabanatuan City
DG Declaration: “8 swords in my hand. No town in Central/North Luzon without a Hall.”

2025 – 2 Halls Forming
Victoria San Quintin | Dominus Tarlac City
Deadline Issued: Charter before Holy Week 2027 or territory reassigned.

Geography Complete: 5 Halls lock Pangasinan. 2 hold Nueva Ecija. 1 bridges Tarlac.
Result: Any Catholic family from Lingayen to Cabanatuan within 1 hour of a Hall.

IV. TEST OF FIRE – JUNE 3, 2026: THE GRANDMASTER DIES

Supreme Grandmaster, K.H.O.S.I. dies. Office vacant.
Sagrada Orden Response: 30 days mourning. Black bands. No recruitment. July 4 Requiem Formation (Rosary).

Doctrine Proved:
“Clubs scatter when the founder dies. Ordens hold the line.”

DG to District: “The Grandmaster is dead. The Orden lives. The sword passes. The spiritual war continues.”

10th Anniversary Target:

Chartered Halls: Lumen, Fidelis, Crux – First dubbing before Dec 2026. No extensions.
Forming Halls: Victoria, Dominus – Reach 12 Sir Knights to activate. Deadline: Holy Week 2027.

Rule: Any Hall without a dubbing in 12 months loses its Charter. No dead Halls in Sagrada Orden.
