BSIT–III Actively Participates in the 2025 Research Colloquium
The third-year Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT-3) students of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Unisan Campus proudly showcased their innovative research solutions during the Research Colloquium 2025 on December 12, 2025, 8:00 AM at PUP Unisan gymnasium, with the theme: Exploring approaches and Futures of Education, Technological Transformation towards Resilience and Innovation.
Dr. Edwin G. Malabuyoc, Campus Director, welcomed participants and underscored the importance of the research colloquium in academic growth. He highlighted its role in strengthening community engagement, supporting research development, and fostering dedication to impactful studies for the community.
Then, Dr. Honesto O. Camino, Fundamentals of Research instructor, outlined the mechanics for the upcoming presentations. His clear instructions and reminders helped students feel confident and ready to effectively present their systems.
Following this, Mr. Ryan P. Villalon, BSIT Program Chair, delivered a compelling overview of his research project on a Blood Reserve Recommender and Mapping System.
Next to present was Dr. Honesto O. Camino, who discussed his research titled Conceptual Clarification, Theoretical Grounding, and Nomological Representation of Psychological Agility.
The final presenter was Dr. Jonathan A. Marquez, who presented his study on the Relationship between Leadership Environment and VUCAD World Capacity among Directors, Faculty, and Students of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines' campuses.
These research presentations emphasized their significance and the impact they aim to create, particularly in driving technological and academic solutions that benefits us all.
The distinguished panel of evaluators included Mr. Don Lenard E. Pescadero, Prof. Rommel Manuquil, and Mr. Angelo P. Pera, BSIT instructors. Mr. Ryan P. Villalon, BSIT Program Chair, Ms. Marijoy Antone, Research Collaborator, and Dr. Jonathan A. Marquez, Head of Academic Programs, provided valuable expertise and constructive feedback during the evaluation process.
Each group presented their project and its significance within a five-minute time frame, followed by a Q&A session where the panel assessed their knowledge and provided insights to enhance their research.
The Research Colloquium served both as a showcase of academic excellence and a celebration of PUP Unisan Campus dedication to fostering a culture of research and innovation, while showcasing commitment to fostering a culture of research and innovation, contributing to SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
