The Pangasinan State Universityโ€“School of Advanced Studies (PSU-SAS) congratulates Mr. Kenneth L. Clauna, Master in Public Administration (MPA) graduate and recipient of the 2026 Best Paper and Best Presenter awards, for successfully presenting his capstone at the 57th PAGE International Convention and General Assembly, held on August 27โ€“29, 2026, at Lyceum of the Philippines Universityโ€“Cavite.

His capstone, โ€œAssessment of Information Management Practices Among Barangays in Mangaldan, Pangasinan: Basis for a Digital Transition Framework,โ€ identified gaps in records security, internet connectivity, and official digital communication. It proposed a Local Information Management Guide to standardize records management, strengthen digital archiving, and promote secure information practices among barangays.

Mr. Clauna will also present his capstone at the 2026 Sustainability Governance International Conference, organized by the Development Academy of the Philippinesโ€“Graduate School of Public Management, on September 29โ€“30, 2026, in Valenzuela City. He will likewise present it at the RTI Research Conference: Evidence of Trust on October 20, 2026, at UP Diliman, Quezon City.

PSU School of Advanced Studies Opens Academic Year 2026โ€“2027 with Virtual Orientation

The Pangasinan State University โ€“ School of Advanced Studies (PSU-SAS) officially concluded its Virtual Orientation for Academic Year 2026โ€“2027 on Saturday, August 22, bringing together graduate students and members of the academic community for an informative and inspiring start to the new academic year.

Carrying the theme โ€œNavigate | Connect | Engage | Excel,โ€ the orientation served as a platform for students to gain a clearer understanding of the policies, services, research opportunities, and professional development pathways available throughout their graduate school journey.

The activity highlighted the importance of becoming familiar with the academic policies and institutional services that support graduate students while emphasizing the role of research and continuous professional growth in achieving success in graduate education.

More than an orientation, the event provided students with an opportunity to begin the academic year with renewed purpose, determination, and enthusiasm. As graduate education requires commitment, resilience, critical thinking, and continuous learning, students were encouraged to view the challenges ahead as opportunities for intellectual and professional development.

The themeโ€™s four guiding principlesโ€”Navigate, Connect, Engage, and Excelโ€”encapsulated the aspirations for the new academic year. Students were encouraged to navigate their academic responsibilities with purpose, connect with fellow students and the academic community, engage actively in learning and research, and strive for excellence in every academic and professional opportunity.

As the orientation concluded, the PSU-SAS community looked ahead to a productive and meaningful academic year. Students were encouraged to remain committed to their goals, deepen their knowledge, contribute meaningfully to their fields, and persevere until they accomplish what they have started.
