We notice when they say,
โ€œGood morning, class.โ€

We notice when they remind us,
โ€œPlease submit your work on time.โ€

We notice when they ask,
โ€œDo you understand?โ€

And, of course, we notice when they say,
โ€œThis is the last reminder.โ€

But what about the things we donโ€™t see?

The time they spend preparing before class.
The patience behind explaining the same thing again.
The extra effort they make when someone is struggling.
The encouragement they give when we start doubting ourselves.

So, what keeps a teacher going after a long day?

Is it the coffee? The salary? The weekends? ๐Ÿ˜…
Or maybeโ€ฆ itโ€™s that one student who finally says, โ€œ๐Œ๐šโ€™๐š๐ฆ/๐’๐ข๐ซ, ๐ ๐ž๐ญ๐ฌ ๐ค๐จ ๐ง๐š ๐ฉ๐จ.โ€

We may forget some lessons. We may forget some assignments. We may even forget the exact words our teachers once told us.

But will we forget the teacher who believed in us when we needed it most?

A new chapter of leadership begins.

The University Central Student Government (UCSG) Council of the Urdaneta City Campus proudly takes part in the Mass Oath-Taking Ceremony 2026, held on September 30, 2026, at the Dr. Salvador T. Duque Fieldhouse, Lyceum-Northwestern University โ€“ Dagupan Campus.

Joining more than 773 student leaders from across the University, representatives of 49 officially recognized student organizations gathered to take their oath and affirm their commitment to leadership, service, and student engagement.

Led by ๐—จ๐—–๐—ฆ๐—š ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ ๐—ž๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐˜ ๐——๐˜„๐˜†๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐—š. ๐—–๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฒ, the Urdaneta City Campus Council officially takes its oath to serve and represent the student body. This moment marks not only the beginning of our term, but also our shared responsibility to work together, lead with purpose, and contribute to a stronger and more united L-NU community.

Following last weekโ€™s examinations and in consideration of the recent flooding and weather disturbances experienced by our community, all students from Basic Education to College Level will observe a Wellness Break from September 14โ€“19, 2026.

Use this time to rest, recover, reconnect, and take care of your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. You have been through a challenging period, and your wellness matters to us.

During the break, the University will also assess the safety and conduciveness of our buildings, and undertake the necessary cleaning, sanitation, and preparation of learning spaces before the possible resumption of face-to-face classes.

ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON SEPTEMBER 10

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 135, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on September 10, 2026, in anticipation of continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and the cumulative effects of prolonged rainfall:

๐Ÿ“ Bataan
๐Ÿ“ Bulacan
๐Ÿ“ Pampanga

๐Ÿ“ Cavite
๐Ÿ“ Laguna
๐Ÿ“ Rizal
๐Ÿ“ Occidental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

Classes will shift to Flexible Learning Modality.
