π’ PSA Officially Corrects Geographic Names in Bukidnon; Lurogan is now Lurugan
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has officially updated the Philippine Standard Geographic Code (PSGC) by correcting the names of several municipalities and barangays across the country. These changes were made following the recommendations of the Interagency Technical Working Group on Geographic Code (TWGGC), with supporting certifications from the concerned local government units and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.

The correction from Lurogan to Lurugan officially recognizes the historical and locally accepted name of the barangay in Valencia City. The updated spelling is now reflected in the Philippine Standard Geographic Code and should be used in official government records and publications.
