The Catanduanes State University, College of Health Sciences students get the over-all champion award at the 1st Daluyong 2026 Youth Health Leadersโ Summit with the theme: โShaping Tomorrowโs Health through Youth Empowerment.โ held at Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, Nabua, Camarines Sur on March 29-31, 2026.
According to Daluyong 2026 official face book page, Daluyong 2026 is a program activity of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, College of Health Sciences Student Council. It is a three-day summit starting from March 29-31, 2026 which unites Filipino youth leaders in the medical field to strengthen alliance, leadership and continuous service in health. The summit aims to address health challenges facing the country today, highlighting the critical role of the youth as advocates and catalysts for change. It is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which aims to empower Filipino youth to provide initiation and develop sustainable solutions that respond to numerous health challenges. The participants will take part in seminars, workshops, team-building activities, nature encounters, community immersion, and friendly competitions that develop leadership and foster holistic well-being.
Participating schools are Catanduanes State University (CatSU), Naga College Foundation (NCF), University of Northeastern Philippines (UNEP) and Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC).

De la Cruz CHS Womenโ Club President and Jessie Bhoy A. Francisco PAN-DNT Chapter Vice President for Internal Affairs.
The contest proper was conducted in the second day afternoon of the event with the following competition game: Quiz Bowl Competition, Photography Contest, Poster Making Contest, Extemporaneous Speaking, Essay Writing Contest, Poster and Research Presentation.
The delegates ranked first in Quiz Bowl Competition, Photography, Poster Making, Extemporaneous Speaking and obtained 3rd place Essay Writing. Quiz Bowl Competition participated by team represented by Jian Khrl O. Usero, Ash Jayco T. Vargas and Christian Dave T. Alcantara, Photography Contest by Nicole Alexie E. Rodriguez, Poster Making by Silver G. De Quiroz, and Essay Writing by Ivy T. De la Cruz CHS.
The Catanduanes State University, College of Health Science community is very proud of this achievement and award. It will inspire other student to join the future health leader summit. Indeed CatSU, CHS is a haven of achievers.
