The PSQ is a nationwide annual contest designed to test the knowledge of statistics of first year students enrolled in colleges and universities in the 17 regions of the country. It also identifies and nurture talents especially in the field of statistics. It aims to contribute to the advocacy in the use of Statistics for evidence-based decision-making.

Attention to all regular first year student of Catanduanes State University.

The Philippines statistics authority will be conducting their annual Philippines statistics quiz (PSQ) and the provincial elimination will be held on November 7,2022.

The CatSU Mathematics circle will hold "The search for the country's young statistics whizzes on November 4,2022(friday) at SBL 101, 3:00 in the afternoon with elimination stage of the aforementioned quiz to select the representative from CatSU.

The primary aim of the Philippines statistics quiz is to assess the competency and still of students in statistics as acquired from secondary education curriculum to promote, enhance, and instil awareness the student and to generate and value of science, statistics in particular; among student; and generate public awareness on the importance of statistics in development - planning activities.
