PROMOTING INCLUSIVE HEALTHCARE FOR ALL! 🌈🏳️‍🌈

Today,PhilHealth together with Cat-COLORS conducted a forum on LGBTQIA+ community access to healthcare at the PhilHealth Office.

One of the important programs discussed was the PhilHealth YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan) Program, which LGBTQIA+ members can also avail of. YAKAP provides access to primary care checkups, laboratory services, medicines, and health screening to help members stay healthy and detect illnesses early.

The forum served as an avenue to raise awareness about healthcare rights, available services, and the importance of making healthcare accessible, inclusive, respectful, and responsive to the LGBTQIA+ community.

Because healthcare is for everyone. 🏳️‍🌈💙

We are organizing a Focused Group Discussion (FGD) and Forum centered on LGBTQIA+ community access, health, and advocacy. This activity aims to provide a safe and meaningful space for participants to share their experiences, perspectives, and insights while contributing to discussions on inclusive access and community welfare.

Date: September 11, 2026
Time: Morning session only; participants are requested to be present by 8:00 AM
Participants: Individuals 21 years old and above
Coverage: Open to students, friends, and residents from any municipality in Catanduanes
Number of Participants: 30 participants

This Pride Month, CatSU Karibangbang celebrates remarkable LGBTQIA+ leaders and changemakers whose lives continue to inspire generations of Catandunganons. They are more than symbols of representation—they are living proof that authenticity, compassion, and courage can shape communities, influence minds, and leave a lasting legacy.

Their stories remind us that leadership is not measured by titles, but by the lives we touch. That resilience is not merely surviving discrimination, but continuing to dream, create, and serve despite it. And that advocacy is not simply about demanding a seat at the table—it is about ensuring that no one is left behind.

Echoes of Pride is a tribute to the voices that continue to resonate across generations—voices that inspire young people to lead with integrity, embrace their truth without fear, and believe that who they are is never a limitation, but a source of strength.

Because Pride is not remembered for who stood in the spotlight. It is remembered for those who illuminated the path so others could finally walk it with dignity, freedom, and hope.

Ang pakikiisa ay hindi nasusukat sa laki ng plataporma, kundi sa tapang na gamitin ito para sa tama.

Sa isang mundong madalas humiling sa iba na magtago, napakahalaga ng mga taong at organisasyong pinipiling maging daan upang mas maraming tinig ang marinig, mas maraming kwento ang maunawaan, at mas maraming tao ang maramdamang sila ay kabilang.

Pinupuri ng CatSU Karibangbang Organization ang CICT Student Council sa kanilang makabuluhang pakikiisa ngayong Pride Month. Nawa’y magsilbi itong paalala na ang pagtanggap ay hindi dapat maging pambihirang kilos kundi isang pang-araw-araw na pagpili.

Hinihikayat namin ang bawat organisasyon, lider-estudyante, at miyembro ng komunidad na gamitin ang kani-kanilang espasyo hindi lamang upang magsalita, kundi upang makinig; hindi lamang upang magbigay ng suporta, kundi upang maging bahagi ng pagbabago.

Sapagkat ang isang komunidad ay hindi tunay na umuunlad kapag may mga taong naiiwan. Umuunlad ito kapag ang bawat isa—anuman ang kanilang pagkakakilanlan—ay may lugar, may boses, at may dignidad.

Maging inspirasyon nawa ang pagkilos na ito upang mas marami pang kamay ang makiisa, mas marami pang puso ang umunawa, at mas marami pang tinig ang magkaroon ng lakas na magsabing, “Narito ako, at ako ay kabilang.”
