2nd Year BS Entrepreneurship Block A students enrolled in Innovation Management presented the refined version of their prototype pitches as part of their Final Examination, utilizing the Lean Startup Methodology under the guidance of Prof. Vivienne May Rubio-Valenzuela.

The prototype pitch presentations were evaluated by a distinguished panel composed of Prof. John Edmund P. Manlagnit, CEIC Custodian, and Director Kristopher T. Visaya of the University Intellectual Property Rights and Commercialization Office.

The activity highlighted the students’ creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial competencies as they showcased improved product concepts and business ideas developed throughout the course. Through the integration of the Lean Startup Methodology, students were encouraged to continuously refine their products based on feedback, market validation, and value creation.

This experience serves as a significant foundation in preparing the students for their entrepreneurial venture as they advance to their 3rd year, where they will further develop their business concepts into real-world entrepreneurial initiatives.

THE FINAL PITCH 2026: From “What If” to “What’s Next”

The spirit of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship came alive during The Final Pitch 2026: From “What If” to “What’s Next,” as BS Entrepreneurship students of the College of Business and Accountancy showcased their business ideas, entrepreneurial skills, and real-world business experiences through a culminating pitch presentation.

The event served as one of the major course requirements for both third-year and fourth-year BS Entrepreneurship students under the guidance of subject adviser Ms. Vivienne May Rubio-Valenzuela, highlighting the role of entrepreneurs as innovators who transform creativity into opportunities and solutions.

Fourth-year BS Entrepreneurship students successfully completed their Business Implementation 2 and presented their Business Performance Reports, reflecting months of hard work, perseverance, teamwork, and actual business experience gained through implementation.

Meanwhile, third-year BS Entrepreneurship students confidently delivered their Business Plan Pitch Presentations, marking the beginning of their entrepreneurial journey toward future business implementation.

The activity was organized by Ms. Jemmarie Adille under the Events Management class, bringing together students, faculty members, and guests in a celebration of innovation, leadership, and achievement.

In his opening remarks, College Dean Ian V. Aranel emphasized that the event marked the first culminating activity conducted by the BS Entrepreneurship program, recognizing the creativity, passion, and business potential of the students.

The program concluded with inspiring words from Mr. John Edmund P. Manlagnit, who highlighted that the success of The Final Pitch was made possible through the students’ dedication and the guidance of their adviser. He also emphasized the vital role of the CatSU Entrepreneurship Incubation Center in continuously supporting and empowering student entrepreneurs throughout their entrepreneurial journey.

For the graduating fourth-year students, The Final Pitch symbolized not only the culmination of their academic journey, but also the beginning of new opportunities beyond college. For the third-year students, it served as the starting line toward future business implementation and entrepreneurial success.

The 3rd Year BS Entrepreneurship students took their first big step into the entrepreneurial journey as they confidently presented their Business Plan Pitch Presentations during 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 “𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐟” 𝐭𝐨 “𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭”, last May 13, 2026 held at CatSU Extension Hall.

More than just presenting business concepts, the activity showcased the students’ creativity, innovation, teamwork, and potential as future entrepreneurs. Each pitch reflected months of planning, brainstorming, revisions, and preparation in developing business ideas into feasible and marketable ventures.

Under the guidance of Prof. Vivienne May Rubio-Valenzuela, the students were challenged to think critically, solve problems creatively, and transform “what if” ideas into future business opportunities.

The Final Pitch marked not just a classroom presentation, but the beginning of their entrepreneurial journey toward actual business implementation.

The 4th Year BS Entrepreneurship students successfully concluded their Business Implementation 2 through the presentation of their Business Performance Reports during The Final Pitch 2026: From “What If” to “What’s Next.”

More than just a requirement, the journey reflected months of hard work, teamwork, perseverance, and real-world entrepreneurial experience. From conceptualizing business ideas to implementing and managing actual ventures, the students demonstrated passion, resilience, and innovation worthy of future entrepreneurs.

For three consecutive semesters, the students were guided by subject adviser Prof. Vivienne May Rubio-Valenzuela — from Business Plan, to Business Implementation 1, and finally Business Implementation 2 — helping transform classroom concepts into actual business experiences and entrepreneurial learning.

Their Final Pitch symbolized not only the culmination of their academic journey, but also the beginning of bigger opportunities beyond college.

With a growing number of orders for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the team is fully geared up to serve and keep everyone energized throughout the event.

𝘚𝘵𝘦𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘥, 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴.

As part of Business Plan Implementation II, 4th year BS-Entrepreneurship students were assigned to different locations and event areas during the PASOA Regional Convention on March 25-26, 2026, allowing them to step outside the usual setup of the CEIC store. Through this immersion, they were able to sell, market, and engage with real customers in a more dynamic and unpredictable environment.

The experience exposed them not only to opportunities, but also to the realities of running a business. While some moments were encouraging, there were also times when sales were slower than expected.

Students learned to adjust their approach, observe customer behavior, and reflect on what strategies worked and what could be improved. More importantly, they gained a deeper understanding that entrepreneurship involves both wins and challenges, and that growth often comes from navigating both. ✨
