In partnership with Gamma Chapter and the Gamma Alumni Association, this webinar will explore the psychosocial impact of bullying and the importance of understanding anti-bullying laws. Bullying has no place in a safe space! Everyone deserves respect, dignity, and equal protection, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or HIV status.

Let us stand against gender-based bullying and discrimination in accordance with the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013 (RA 10627) and the Philippine HIV and AIDS Policy Act (RA 11166).

𝗛𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗥 𝗕𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦: 𝗔 𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗪𝗜𝗦𝗗𝗢𝗠 👴👵⚜️💙💛

Today, October 1, we observe the International Day of Older Persons (IDOP), a global observance that recognizes the contributions of older persons and promotes their dignity, rights, well-being, and meaningful participation in society. The United Nations designated October 1 as the International Day of Older Persons in 1990.

The 2026 theme, “The Age of Longevity: Rethinking Systems for Longer Lives,” highlights the need for societies to adapt to longer lives and ensure that older persons can continue to participate meaningfully in their families, communities, and society.

For APO PH, this day is also a meaningful opportunity to honor our Brothers and Sisters who have spent decades in Leadership, Friendship, and Service.

Many of our Brothers and Sisters helped establish chapters, build our organization, and lay the foundations that generations of APO members continue to build upon today.

Their stories are not simply memories of the past. They are part of the history and legacy of APO PH, carried from one generation to another through the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood.

As we celebrate this day, let us take time to listen to our Brothers and Sisters who have walked through many seasons of life, learn from their experiences, and recognize the dignity, wisdom, and value they continue to bring to society.

To our Brothers and Sisters, thank you for the years of service, the friendships built, the stories shared, and the foundation you continue to strengthen. 💙💛⚜️

May we continue to create a society where people can age with dignity, remain connected, and continue to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.
