The College of Teacher Education (CTE) of the Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) successfully concluded its 2-Day Curriculum Review and Consultative Forum held on July 29โ30, 2026, at the Collegeโs Audio Visual Room.
With the theme, โ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ง๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ : ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐,โ the two-day activity served as a significant milestone in the Collegeโs continuing commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance.
The first day featured a consultative forum where stakeholders from various sectors shared valuable insights, experiences, and recommendations regarding the implementation of the Collegeโs teacher education programs. Their constructive feedback highlighted the strengths of the existing curriculum while identifying opportunities for improvement to ensure greater responsiveness to the evolving needs of learners, schools, and the teaching profession.
Building on these discussions, the second day was dedicated to the comprehensive review and enhancement of course syllabi. Faculty members collaborated to revisit course outcomes, learning activities, assessment strategies, and instructional approaches, ensuring alignment with institutional goals, quality assurance standards, and current trends in teacher education. The workshop also emphasized the integration of stakeholder feedback into syllabus development, fostering a more relevant, outcomes-based, and learner-centered curriculum.
The successful completion of the curriculum review reflects the Collegeโs unwavering dedication to continuous quality improvement and its readiness to embrace future developments in teacher education.
