𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗔 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗔 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗟𝗔 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘂𝗺 📚✨

Last April 27, 2026, the School of Liberal Arts of Ateneo de Zamboanga University held the 4th SLA Research Colloquium and 13th SLA Undergraduate Best Papers Presentations at the Bro. Richie Fernando, SJ Multi-Purpose Hall. The event served as a gathering of faculty members and student researchers in celebrating academic excellence, critical inquiry, and meaningful research across various disciplines.

Through the presentation of diverse studies and research papers, the colloquium highlighted how research continues to contribute to deeper understanding of social, cultural, and global realities. Each presentation reflected the passion, dedication, and commitment of student researchers in producing knowledge that can create impact beyond the classroom.

In line with this, the International Studies Organization of Ateneo proudly acknowledges our fellow BA International Studies representatives: 𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗶𝘀 𝗦. LEANLO | STATEMENT OF SOLIDARITY ON THE REFRAMED CHED GENERAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM

The Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013, commonly known as the K–12 Program, was signed into law today, 13 years ago.

As conversations on the reframed CHED General Education curriculum continue, we stand firm in asserting that History, Filipino, Literature, Philosophy, Language, and the Humanities are not expendable disciplines because education must remain more than mere preparation for labor and market demands.

This collective statement is initiated by La Liga Historia Zamboangueña - AdZU Chapter (LLHZ-AdZU), concurred by The Ateneo Communicators, Ateneo Psych ICare, Education Academic Organization, International Studies Organization of Ateneo, Liberal Arts Academic Organization, and Samahang Pilosopiya ng Ateneo.

More than a ceremony, this gathering marks the journey of students who chose to understand people, societies, and the world with both intellect and heart. It is a celebration of future psychologists and diplomats who aspire to create change through compassion, understanding, and meaningful service.

With the theme, “Serving the World with Empathy: Diplomacy in Practice, Service with Heart,” this event highlights how knowledge and compassion come together in service of both local and global communities. 🤝

Pernito for being recognized as the School of Liberal Arts’ Most Outstanding Graduate during the 72nd College Commencement Exercises. 🦅💙

Avy’s journey in International Studies has been one filled with determination, courage, and an eagerness to grow beyond limits. In every space she entered, she carried not only intelligence and competence, but also kindness, authenticity, and a heart that genuinely cared for others.

Join us for this Freedom250 Lecture Series as we delve into the roads that helped pave America as the nation it is today. 🇺🇸🦅

Under the theme, "Freedom@250: Tracing the Legacy of American Freedom", the session will serve as a final requirement for the United States History, Government, Society Course (HIST-US) course.

The first discussion titled, "The Roots of a Great Nation: The Origins of the First American Migrants" will feature Ms. Mavourneen Athena Maravilla. In this lecture, we learn about the people who built the foundation of the United States, delving into the challenges that they encountered along the way and how these challenges are seen in recent years.

The second discussion titled, "A Commonwealth of Liberty: The English Origins of American Republicanism" led by Mr. Jonas Ethan Dagalea, will focus on the upbringings of American Republicanism and its relevance to the contemporary period.

This lecture is also featured by Mr. Rovic John Eslao, who will conduct his discussion titled, "The Legacies of "American Freedom" in Philippine Politics". We look at the instances in Philippine history where American freedom has brought us to progress.

We, the Banana Republic Klub 🍌 of NSTP- K, would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors and partners for fueling Project 4KM from start to finish.

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 4𝗞𝗠 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗞: 𝗔 𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗥𝗨𝗡 𝗜𝗡 𝗠𝗔𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗡 🏃

On April 25, 2026, we officially brought Project 4KM to life during our highly anticipated Implementation Day! It was a powerful experience to see the streets of Maasin transformed into a hub of civic action, as we worked alongside fellow youth participants aged 18–24 to drive meaningful local development.

Throughout the day, we successfully executed our four foundational pillars, turning our vision into direct community impact:

•𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐄 (𝐊𝐚𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧): We led the charge on financial literacy, advocating for a frugal and responsible Maasin.
•𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐔𝐩! 𝐌𝐚𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧 (𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧): We facilitated hands-on sessions focused on digital literacy—fuzzy wire workshop and online job platforms—to help our peers prepare for future opportunities.
•𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐬 (𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐧): We focused on sustainability, laying the groundwork for stronger local livelihoods.
•𝐕𝐨𝐭𝐄𝐝 (𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧): We opened vital conversations about civic awareness, encouraging our generation to take an active role in our democracy.

We didn't just share knowledge, we built a stronger sense of responsibility and community among the people who will lead this city next. 💙
