𝐈𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬: Today, August 22, 2024, the 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 conducted a flag retreat or the flag lowering led by the 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 earlier at Universidad De Zamboanga (Main Campus), Don Toribio Street, Brgy Tetuan, Zamboanga City. It marked as the 𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙙𝙪𝙩𝙮 and serves as a ceremony for paying respect to the flag.

This ceremony supports 𝗖𝗦𝗖 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭𝟵, 𝘀. 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟮 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭𝟬 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝗡𝗼. 𝟴𝟰𝟵𝟭, otherwise known as the "Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines" requires all government offices and educational institutions to observe the flag-raising and flag-lowering ceremonies.

The Universidad de Zamboanga (UZ) wrapped up its annual 𝐕𝐀𝐌𝐎𝐒: 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 (𝐎𝐫𝐒𝐞𝐦) 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫 with a dazzling carnival extravaganza participated with the different Schools at The Summit Centre in Tetuan, Zamboanga City, August 20, 2024, to welcome new students for Academic Year 2024-2025.

The School of Criminal Justice (SCJ) 𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐃 𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐔𝐒 (𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐍) in the yell competition, showcasing an electrifying and powerful performance in collaboration with the SCJ freshies.
𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨𝙣'𝙩 𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚! The ROTC, an organization affiliated with the School of Criminal Justice, was also awarded as 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐈𝐏𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐎𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐙𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 during the event.

Special thanks to our snappy 𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗬 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗦 and 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐒
who expertly managed crowd control to ensure the event ran smoothly—kudos to you, interns, for making it all possible.

These honors would not have been achievable without the hard work, dedication, and leadership of the 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗖𝗝 𝗦𝗦𝗖 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗦, as well as the unwavering support of their adviser, Ma'am 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐔𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐨, and school dean, 𝐄𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐊. 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞, 𝐌𝐬𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦, who worked diligently to ensure this occasion was a triumph.

The new SCJ SSC officers have already set the bar high with their 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭, and if this is any indication, we’re in for an exciting year ahead.
