COUNTDOWN | 2 Days Before the Earthquake Drill

Only two days to go before our Earthquake Drill, Ateneans!

As we prepare, let’s refresh a few important safety reminders:

DO NOT TAKE PHOTOS. Do the DUCK, COVER, and HOLD immediately.
STAY AWAY FROM GLASS DOORS, WINDOWS, OR MIRRORS, as these can shatter.
AVOID ELEVATORS. Use the stairs. Move quickly but do not run.
STAY AWAY FROM CABINETS, BOOKSHELVES, AND OTHER FURNITURE that may topple over.

Let’s do our part and work together to make this year’s earthquake drill safe, orderly, and successful.

See you on drill day, Ateneans!

SEPTEMBER 8, 2026 | Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Today, the Church rejoices at the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary—a dawn that foretells the coming of Christ, the Light of the world. Through her life of faith, humility, and trust, Mary became a model of hope and openness to God’s call.

The Ateneo de Zamboanga University invites the community to mark the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary with hope and trust in God’s plan. Inspired by Mary’s faithful “yes,” let us open our hearts to serve, accompany one another, and bring hope to others.

May we continue to place our lives, our families, and our community under the loving mantle of the Blessed Mother.
