📢 GRACE Pre-Test Teachers' Orientation Successfully Conducted! 📚✨

The AdZU Junior High School Guidance and Counseling Office, in partnership with Global Resources for Assessment Curriculum and Evaluation (GRACE), has successfully concluded the Teachers' Orientation for the upcoming GRACE Pre-Test Examination.

During the orientation, Ma'am Kryzyl from GRACE guided our Junior High School teachers through the technical aspects of the examination, including the proper procedures for test administration. The session also provided an opportunity for teachers to raise questions and clarify important concerns, ensuring a smooth and organized testing process for everyone.

📌 To our dear JHS students:
Your GRACE Pre-Test is scheduled for Monday, July 27. We encourage you to come prepared, follow the testing guidelines carefully, and give your best effort. While this is a pre-test, your sincerity and diligence in answering will help provide meaningful insights that can support your academic and personal growth.

Get enough rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive on time. We believe in your potential—do your best, and let your efforts shine!

For two decades now, the Ateneo de Zamboanga University Junior High School has called the William H. Kreutz Campus in Tumaga its home — continuing a long Jesuit tradition of forming young men and women for and with others through faith, excellence, leadership, and service.

Since transferring from the Salvador Campus in the city proper to the WHK Campus in 2006, generations of Ateneans have journeyed through classrooms, laboratories, friendships, victories, challenges, formation experiences, and moments that shaped them not only as students, but as persons of competence, conscience, compassion, character, and culture.

Now, as AdZU JHS marks its 20th year in Tumaga, a new generation is invited to begin its own Ateneo journey.

𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲 💼✨

As this week ends, the AdZU JHS Guidance & Counseling Office proudly concludes Career Development Week 2026 with the theme, “Hiraya Manawari: From Aspiration to Profession!”

Through our Career Wall and Career Information Hub, our students were given space to reflect, draw out their dream professions, explore Senior High School strands, and the various College courses along with its respective career choices — rooted in the purpose of envisioning their future paths with confidence.

And, of course, the program would not be complete without our Career Discernment Talk! As Grade 10 students transition into a new chapter of their lives, we brought back fellow AdZU JHS Alumni Naithan Bundajon and Maryam Albiso to provide some perspective on how it is to be a SHS student, the academic demands, and overcoming the anxieties of having to make difficult choices.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ma’am Hannah and the AdZU SHS Guidance and Counseling Office, our guest speakers Naithan and Maryam, and our JHS students for making this program meaningful and inspiring. 💙

𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 💙

Today, December 6, 2025, the Guidance & Counseling Office, along with the Junior Peers Circle officers, spent a meaningful day at Holy Trinity Orphanage — spreading joy, sharing stories, and exchanging laughters.

The teenagers of the orphanage welcomed everyone with a heartwarming card expressing their appreciation, as this was also followed by a singing performance from the orphanage and the JPC officers. Furthermore, the officers then hosted a series of fun games for everyone. The day then ended with a group sharing between the JPC and the HTO, allowing them to exchange stories, reflections, and hope.

As the holiday season draws near, may we never forget to listen, to be kind, and to be present. ✨

The JHS Guidance and Counseling Office recently held their annual De-stress Week from November 17-20, 2025 at the JHS Lobby, as students from various grade levels engaged in fun-filled activities, ranging from boardgames, hula hoops, and even bowling!

This yearly program, in accordance with Mental Health Awareness Month, is an initiative from the Guidance and Counseling Office to remind students that amidst their academic responsibilities, a little bit of enjoyment can never hurt.
